Discuss The Orville

There have been complaints that the humor in The Orville is inappropriate, out of place, jarring, etc. But if it's to be compared to original Star Trek, much of the humor there seemed far more out of place. For example, at the end of "The Changeling," after Nomad has destroyed planets/whole solar systems, etc, Kirk is making a joke about "My son, the doctor." Similar at the end of "The Doomsday Machine." And there are others.

Inappropriate humor is EXACTLY why TO is loved by so many! This is where they can get away with all their off color, racist, sexist, none pc jokes, humor and innuendo because the targets of all this 'humor' are usually the ALIENS, the 'others' in the show. There is no Moclan lobby to make a stink!
