It definitely does seem like a direct sequel to the first, or at least ignoring the second and third movies since they're probably not at all important to this story.

Why are there so many dislikes? From what I've been reading and hearing, it's quite good.
When you pause/unpause, there is a little wax on/wax off hand in the corner of the screen....and if you scroll over the timebar there is a little Daniel-san doing the crane kick!
Possibly its a backlash from people going 'YOU ARE SHITTING ON MY CHILDHOOD MEMORIES' without even watching it, assuming its a shitty reboot or something like the new ghostbusters.
I binged the entire season last night, other than the last episode it was great

Just finished the entire season, it was sooooo good!
