OK, from all I could read about this, I don't see more than 38 episodes mentioned. IMDB only shows 13 episodes, so it must not be up to date.

Thought I would post one more to try to catch you before you sign off for the night.

Behzat is now in the habit of drinking at the train depot like a wino.

The odd retired detective who cut off his finger apparently wants to insert himself into the investigation, pretending to be a victim. I am betting he planted his finger as evidence at the home of the man he jailed for the wrong crime previously. He doesn't want a wrong imprisonment case on his record.

third or so comment:

Moron: "my metabolism work faster when my brain doesn't. I lose weight." If that were true, he would look like a concentration camp victim.

Asli complained that he stuck his fork into the common food plate. Moron responded "oh, do I disgust you?" Now that his doting mother has managed to get him back in his father's good graces, Moron has returned to his jubilant repulsiveness. He revels in it, knowing that his mother will excuse and defend him whatever he does, no matter how horrible or unfair he is toward his sister. He won't ever think of getting married again as long as his mother is alive and he lives at home. He loves this.

I am thinking stupidity is this actor's specialty. They probably decided to write more for him when they saw how good he is at it. I'll bet he adlibs a lot of his stuff.

Behzat's mustache and beard keep getting thicker, especially that mustache. It is out of control. You can't see his lower lip now. I suppose it is easier to get ready for shooting everyday. When he had that 3 day unshaven look he must have had to shave with an electric razor and a guard to keep his stubble at just the right length. But since he has gone with the hobo look, he doesn't have to do anything, just lets it grow. But you have to wonder how he gets food past it. Maybe his jaw opens really wide.

HA. Moron ran into Larissa again. The idiot will probably rip off his mother again, or mortgage his parent's home to give her more money. I wonder how much he will give her this time to tell him she loves him. Maybe both parents will disown him this time. He is back to drinking again now. Getting wasted in his room at his parent's house.

I don't know why Asli doesn't go to her parents about Cevo. How could anyone think her brother is the person she should consult about seeing a boy? The way he treats her I am surprised she has never done anything against him, like peeing in the tea he always sends her to make for him. "Why does this taste so sour?" Yeah, he is pretty stupid to keep treating her the way he does.

Moron can't even tell the truth to Ghost. Larissa may or may not have lied to Moron, but Moron made up a different surgery for Larissa's mother. And now Moron is planning to lie to his dad, saying "he won't find out". Famous last words. Like I said, I hope both his parents disown him this time.

These episodes now begin with a long review of relavent sections of previous episodes. I sort of like that, but wish I had the option to bypass it quickly. Sometimes these reviews are pretty long.

Sule even walks in a pathetic way now, real slow and mousy like. Her foolish, ditzy, carefree, little girl, hopping around was less irritating that this constant depressed affectation.

Moron took Larissa to Cevdet's place but couldn't get lucky; she told him it was her time of the month. Struck out again. He's a 30 year old virgin, I am guessing. Moron's father called him to come home so he lied to him again saying he was on an "operation" that night.

As soon as he got back into the house, he fell into his normal habits and vices, over eating, abusing the generosity of friends, bossing his sister, putting his carnal desires ahead of all other concerns, drinking strong alcohol, lying to his family, etc. And he has forgotten any pledges he made to himself and others to swear off the practices and attitudes which brought him so low. His selfishness overrides other considerations, including common sense and any lessons he might have learned from past experiences. He sees what he wants, and pretends he can break every rule without consequence. His immediate desire is all that matters. It's not so much that he doesn't care what it will cost him, he makes believe it won't cost him anything (e.g. 'oh, my dad won't find out). When it all goes wrong once again, he will blame others. He will get angry at his friends, and he will pity himself as perpetually and unfairly unloved.

I keep trying to think of how many ways this can go wrong for him. Will Larissa rip off items of value in Cevo's home? Will Moron's dad disown him again? Will Behzat punish him for shirking his duty to spend time with Larissa? Starting ep 44 now.

I think Larissa is lying - she doesn't want to sleep with him - maybe she did before when they were together and doesn't want to repeat the experience - knowing how totally selfish Moron is he probably thinks only of himself in a sexual context also - it was probably wham bang thank you mam - and then a turned back and snoring. Larissa wants to go back to the club - Moron says NO WAY - and then comes up with one of his brilliant solutions - you can work in our club - as a cook - chopping vegetables and suchlike - you can serve - but only me. Yes - fifty shades of stupidity. She is making up stories about her mother being poor etc - so she is obviously on the look out for cash. Of course Moron can't put two and two together (literally) so what is she going to do? She wants money but she doesn't want him - Hmmm. Maybe she will allow him one night of bliss and then claim to be pregnant so she can't do it any more in case it harms the baby - she knows he is idiotic enough to believe this - but obviously not for long - so I think she will take him for all she can and then either disappear again or get one of her dodgy mates to kill him and that will be the basis of another investigation that will see her jailed for a very long time - although twelve years seems sufficient in Turkey for a multiple murderer. She wont' succeed of course - we aren't that lucky. Moron acts like a great baby with his father - his father should not enable him - he should slap his face - not caress it - which he probably will do when he finds out (as he most assuredly will) that Moron is back with the woman who sold his wife's bracelets. Maybe his father will have an attack and die when he finds out - God help Asli and his mother then with Moron becoming the head of the household. Oh dear - I don't even want to imagine that - can you imagine having that great lump of selfish stupidity dominating your home? AGGGGGHHHHHH. Beserk is getting on my nerves now - it's time to put up and shut up - everybody loses someone they love at some point - it takes courage to endure this and to try and move on past it - there is no other option. It's been a couple of years now since Berna died and he knows now that it wasn't because of him - so he should stop drowning in self pity and alcoholism and get on with his job and his life. I am still not clear (sorry) as to whether Sule is his daughter or not - she calls him Dad - but he can't even remember her mother's face- only her clothes and her hair - had he made love to her surely he would have even a vague memory of her face? Can it be that Sule is working under a misguided notion that he is her father and that he abandoned them? I don't think he is her father at all but he must obviously think it a possibility otherwise he would never tolerate her in his house - please don't tell me that he and Cevda are going to get back together with Cevda accepting Sule as their replacement daughter? I am more impatient than you!! I just fast forward through the long intros til it comes to the credits frame. Azeyes has a guilty conscience I think - the rest of the team believe that the guy he imprisoned for years gave a false confession out of guilt for killing his brother - and in his heart he believes it too - but he is desperate to be in the investigation because he is so bored and feels so useless in civvie street - he chops off his finger just to form a case he can be a part of - I am surprised that Beserk hasn't figured this out yet. Honestly - was there any need for those endless conversations with that Kurdish woman - and why did they need to bring in an interpreter when the woman she was with obviously understood both languages. Find my son's killer - it happened thirty years ago. Yeah - ok - flashbacks again - pixels galore - bad man no other than the guy who tricked Ghost into betraying his father 30 years ago - good memory for a child of about 8 who seemed a bit thick - Your mother has forgotten where you father is - can you lead us to him? Again these huge coincidences - like the woman who had the car crash who was also a secret agent with a hidden CD that exonerated Beserk. That was beyond stupid - maybe it was Moron's idea of a plot line !!

update - just a feminine observation which may seem silly to you - I noticed when the gang and the prosecutor were in a street at night time eating food of some kind around a street table - Esra asks him if they are still together and he replies I don't know. Then she reaches up and removes a crumb or something from his moustache and he brushes it as well with a puzzled expression as if that wasn't in the script. That is a very intimate gesture - it is how the British press realised that Princess Margaret and Peter Townsend were having an affair - because she removed a piece of fluff from his lapel in public - the press went wild. I just have this instinct that there is or was something going on between them in real life - I think his real life wife is aware that the Esra actress fancies him at the very least and is either involved with him already or wants to be. Maybe that is why she insinuated herself into the show because there is no real need for that character. Maybe I am wildly off base but my instinct has been screaming at me for ages that the Esra actress is very attracted to him.

halfway through ep 45. The team alone knows they took that man alive. Now they must keep it secret until after Wednesday night when the meeting of Memduh and the top dog occurs. I see a BIG problem with that. MORON. They ought to put him in a black site at a safe house in a foreign country until then. Having Moron running around free is certain to screw things up. He will slip up and reveal facts which ruin their operation.

2 .. nice catch. I either have not seen that scene yet or didn't catch it at all. I am not sure it would have registered with me. I wasn't even aware that Townsend and the princess are or were an item. But then, I stopped paying a lot of attention to the news years ago. And I don't read or watch the gossip type publications which would have carried that over here. I should ask my sister Wendy about it though. I am always amazed at how much she knows about who is dating whom, and so on.

I am absent minded sometimes and I forget that you have no reason to know our ancient history!! I am not sure of the exact time this happened - I would say about the mid fifties. Margaret - the queen's sister (a pretty wild one) had a secret affair with the King's equerry (I think - not sure of his rank) Peter Townsend - he was a divorced man - which in those days meant that it was an impossible relationship. After a lot of fuss and performance (after the fluff incident) Margaret was given a choice - she could marry him - but forfeit her royal status and become Mrs Townsend - or she could break it off and he would be sent abroad. Guess what happened? Margaret - who was more aware of her royal status than the queen and acted like she was the queen - broke it off and eventually married the bi-sexual Antony Armstrong Jones (a photographer) unhappily. I am on Ep 46 and Harun sends Cevdet into a dangerous situation alone. Wont say more til you catch up.

I was thinking of Pete Townsend, the guitarist for The Who. hahaha. I was way off.

I have already seen Harun send Cevo alone to pick up a suspect, and while on the phone with him, Cevo was shot twice, once in the vest he put on since he was going alone, and once he was grazed in the arm or shoulder. He is still wearing a sling in ep 45. I am doing other things, and pausing the show a lot so not as far ahead as I should be. Catch up soon I hope.

A little teaser for you - be prepared for a shock revelation of a traitor!!

I didn't see it coming, but I am not surprised. I never liked Selim. Now I am wondering how he managed to get the information about the sting operation. The smart money would be on Moron as the idiot who leaked the info, probably in some offhand braggadocios comment to Selim, something said while putting him down. It would be so much in character for Moron to blurt out something to tip off someone about the operation, possibly without realizing what he had done. Or he could have done it on purpose, thinking it wouldn't matter or get back to anyone else. He might have said something like "You couldn't make our team. We're the most important squad on the force. Right now our team has a secret operation that nobody else on the whole force even knows about, only our team is trusted with this information. I can't tell you what it is, but you'll hear about it after Wednesday night." I can just picture Moron saying something like that.

But somehow Selim found out more than just that. Somehow he found out when the team would show up. So perhaps the Memduh team (I don't know the name of the top dog, do you?) simply recruited him and taught him how to place electronic bugs, or tasked him with eavesdropping on the team somehow. Selim is a slippery bastard, so he might have been able to figure out how to spy on them by himself. He is in the habit of sneaking around anyway.

They would know Selim was a possible candidate since he had been fired from the homicide bureau and would likely harbor ill will toward them. The only one there he cares about is Eda. He would like to have Behzat's respect and forgiveness, but neither of those are forthcoming, and he knows this.

Have you seen how Selim found out? Hold off on that, if you know. If it is Moron I want to see how he did it myself.

Starting ep 46 now

Yes I have seen how Selim found out about the operation - it was ----------ugh (he gets everywhere!!)

I've noticed that he tends to lurk around the homicide squad room whenever he drops off reports. On the surface it appears he is just missing being near Eda, so Behzat doesn't think anything of it when he finally has to tell Selim to fuck off out of there. People probably don't pay much attention to him in his CSI uniform. His job requires him to examine all sorts of details very closely, so if he were hovering around some papers or something as he works, nobody notices. But I am betting he snoops around at odd hours, and always has some report with him as an excuse for being there. "I was just dropping off this fingerprint report." I would love to see him busted and put in jail for serious time, but with his new friends in his corner, it is doubtful he will see any real punishment from the legal system. From Behzat, that would be a different matter. But even that wouldn't amount to more than an ass whipping. Behzat is not a killer.

Sule, now the perpetually depressed one, invariably finds and focuses on that which will most depress her. What bothers me is that she seems to seek to be depressed, and puts on a depressed appearance like you would a shirt. It is an affectation. I know she is acting, but she comes across as someone who chooses to appear depressed. It doesn't help matters though that the people around her keep pushing her to spend time with Behzat, and now Ceyda has taken her in. Naturally, the first thing Sule does is rummage through drawers to find photos of Berna. Whoops. Now she is depressed even more.

AH, Esra's brother Savas; he is a wildcard and would do her harm in a second if he got the chance. I doubt he knew anything about the operation, but he would betray her without a second thought.

I don't see how Selim could be the lead man on the CSI team when he is so new. He should still be in training, or at least being closely monitored by a more senior employee. But he is a slippery dick, and a good bullshitter. Plus, he now has powerful friends to facilitate him moving up the ladder quickly to an advantgious position.

There is something to the "older brother" position in that culture, apparently. When Serket investigated that 30 year old case without getting a prosecutor to authorize it, Serket and his boss both showed up. Serket said something about how he would like to go at least a month without being called about something Behzat had done. So it seems it is a normal course of action to talk to an elder brother when one wants to report misbehavior of a younger brother. ...I just looked it up online and found an Islamic question and answer site. Some kid wrote asking if he had to obey his older brother while his father works outside the country. Basically the answer is that the elder brother has some measure of guardianship over his younger siblings and when you have guardianship, you have authority as well. As long as the older brother is of sound mind, the younger one is supposed to obey him. But that is for families. It didn't speak to the issue of adults. Still, if it is that way growing up, I imagine the relationship would linger even though the younger was now of legal age. So I am guessing this accounts somewhat for Serket acting like an ass when Behzat doesn't want to listen to his advice.

And this also explains why Asli's life is so screwed. But...she ought to challenge that mentally sound requirement in Huran's case. There must be some cutoff level for stupidity after which a person is considered mentally unsound. She needs to document all the stupid crap he says and does. ..However, her father is still around and in the home. His word is the most authoritative. She needs to work on him. She ought to be able to get around having Moron for a brother.

OH SHIT. Cevdet the dumbass. I forgot that he is still friends with Selim, camaraderie from their days as low men in rank at the homicide bureau. I had expected him to be more of a stickler for following the rules, since he usually is. When he gets a command, he is generally good at following it out. I thought he would have taken the command not to tell anyone outside of that room seriously. But he went and gossiped to Selim about it like a schoolgirl.

Cevdet should be fired over this. There could NOT have been a more clear directive than the one which the prosecutor gave to that team. Incredible. Damn. Fuck off back to agriculture Cevdet, you dumbass.

This also reveals a problem with their hiring practices. Cevdet was never trained as a cop. He started working in homicide on his first day on the force!!! In the western world, that never happens. First, police officers go through the academy, learning the law as it relates to civil employees, and police officers specifically. They learn procedures. And they learn the military style system of rank, and how they have to work within that. They learn to obey orders, and learn the consequences for refusing to do so. Cevdet was never taught ANY of that. What training did he have? Moron sent him to get tea and biscuits, and insulted him like he was pledging to a fraternity. So it is partly their fault. Cevdet had to look to Selim to learn the ropes, the only other person in the room lower in rank than the others. BUT........that having been said, it is still no excuse for telling Selim about the operation. Not at all. Because they gave that command in Turkish, and Cevdet speaks Turkish. So he understood what was said.

Cevdet is like the good friend that you tell a secret, with the understanding that they will tell nobody else, at all. And then that friend goes to another close friend and says "listen, if I tell you this, you can't tell ANYONE else, got it? Cause this is a SECRET." And the secret gets out. When you ask that friend why they told the secret they tell you "but I told them it was a secret and they couldn't tell anyone else. I know them and I thought I could trust them not to tell anyone else." That friend doesn't seem to get the point that they are the same. Cevdet is like that. "I didn't think he would tell anyone". "I thought I could trust him." "Yes I know I wasn't supposed to tell anyone, but he used to work with us so I didn't think it mattered." These are the things someone like Cevdet thinks.

If they are not going to train their police officers before putting them to work, they should hire military veterans, people who have already been trained to follow orders, and who know they can be shot for failure to do so. If they reveal classified information, they can be shot. Nobody likes to get shot. So they think very seriously about it. These people would be a better pool to hire from, if they are not going to train them. You don't just hire someone cause he got fired from his other job and needs work.

Cevdet now asks Selim if he told anyone the secret that Cevo was never supposed to tell. Cevdet is a HUGE dumbass. Did he think Selim would say "yeah, I am the leak. I told the guys you were coming." Cevo already knows that Selim is an accomplished liar, that he fooled Eda after she already knew he had stepped out on her once. He knows Selim lacks character, that he betrayed and lied to the girl he claimed to love, twice. Yet Cevo figured that he would get an honest answer.

Does it puzzle you? How could he open his mouth and begin telling Selim that secret without his conscience screaming at him and stopping him? Forgetting for the moment the issue of Selim's lack of character. But just the fact that he KNEW he was forbidden to share that information with ANYONE who wasn't in that room should have stopped him from speaking. They have not shown us that side of Cevo before. Early on I was willing to cut him some slack and see if he could work hard and become something. Not anymore. I know, I know. The writers can easily redeem him if they want to. And there are good things about him. But he is not cut out for this work. He needs to go.

In the real world and as a real man Cevo would not have lasted the week being treated like that - a bullied teaboy. His sense of masculinity and self worth should have been outraged - I know mine would have. He should have stood up to Moron months ago. Why would they pay him a homicide detectives salary when they are using him as an office junior? They are making him a weak ineffectual baby desperately seeking approval - I think that is why he confided in Selim - look they are telling me secret stuff - they must value me - a little bit of show offing as well to a guy he thought he could trust - who actually works in the same organisation - whom he knew quite well - and who treated him with some civility. I don't think men count cheating on women as anything really important - in that culture it is positively expected - so Cevo wouldn't have considered that in his assessment of trustworthiness. It's not the same level as loyalty men expect from each other. He is as you say completely untrained in what is expected of him in that line of work - he doesn't realise what the consequences can be - and look at his role models - Beserk and Moron are volatile alcoholic bullies who think nothing of beating up innocent people to get what they want - and nothing happens to them. When Moron - who is trained and who is experienced - sent Cevo to that so-called meeting in a house on his own - he should have known better. And what did Beserk do when he learned what Moron had done and how Cevo would have been killed had he not had the sense to wear his vest - he did absolutely nothing - no punishment - no recrimination - they have no right to expect good behaviour when their own is so bad. Cevo is more naïve than stupid - the same can't be said for Moron and if anyone should be fired it should be him. Have you come to the part where Sule is living with Ceyda - I think I shall call her Cider and change Beserks name to Beermat !! If you are looking for stupid - look no further - she has either made or altered a red dress - the same one as worn by Berna when she was thrown off the balcony - and offered it to Sule to wear. Apart from anything else - how does she think Beserk is going to react to that? The woman is retarded. Have you come to when they all attend "Hamlet" - that is funny. I don't know about Resa's brother. From their childhood flashbacks they seem to have had a loving relationship - that is not easily forgotten. He may be a bit of a reprobate but I don't think he will do her real harm - he may even be a new love interest for somebody. I see Azeyes is hitting on the ginger woman in the video - God - poor woman - he is so bluddy repulsive - have you seen that plastic arm on the photos on Beserks wall of doom yet? Another thing - I think that female narc officer is dirty. I don't think they have given a specific name to Mr Big yet - at least I haven't noticed it if they have. Excrement's been gone a long time - time for him to reappear - at least he adds a bit of interest to the show.
