Discuss Gonul

OK, from all I could read about this, I don't see more than 38 episodes mentioned. IMDB only shows 13 episodes, so it must not be up to date.

How bizarre - doesn't anybody realise that the world is over populated already? I think it is because they - unlike white races who seem blissfully unaware that they are dying out - want to keep their own race in the race as it were. "There is a society in Turkey that is dominated by those who think morals is not associated with honesty, by doing your job well, by being fair, by treating people equally but only with sexuality. " That is the case here also - I have long said that honesty integrity and honour have long been forgotten. They probably see students as a bunch of workshy layabouts concerned only with sex drugs and partying - and completely unconcerned with the problems of the world and these are the people who will be taking over in the years to come. They probably fear the destruction of their culture and all that they value as regards morality. Looking at the West and the way we are sinking into a sea of sexual deviance and promiscuity I can see why they monitor them. I wonder if they accept the low grades and mickey mouse subjects that we do - theses on Coronation Street for God's sake - they should restrict University subjects to those that are important like Maths - physics - Technology - Chemistry - etc. because low grade subjects attract low grade students whose only ambition is to stay out of work as long as possible.

I think the American, Hollywood, leftists are intent on exporting their insanity. I saw an article on Meghan Markle and there is a quote which relates to your comment on university curriculum nonsense.

Markle has "spoken out publicly in favour of ‘decolonising the curriculum’ at universities: woke speak for ‘removing any remaining intellectual content from dumbed-down academe, replacing the pursuit of excellence with the usual rag bag of feminist and race-baiting grievances.’"

I completely understand why the conservatives in Turkey are alarmed at the prospect of the infiltration of such nonsense into their culture and institutions. They are concerned with sexual mores because it is through the perversion of these that young people are persuaded to adopt other liberal ideas, I think. Young people feel they are adult enough to make their own choices regarding their social behavior, and if they reject the traditional mores and values in that arena they may do so in others as well. I doubt the universities in Turkey have bought into the stupidity so common in western universities. But it is by the small changes that liberals make inroads. They call themselves "progressives", but that term has a double meaning as they use it. Ostensibly it means they advocate reforms and positive advancements. But it also describes their strategy for subverting the culture and form of government: incremental, step-wise, changes which happen slowly enough to cause little protest or concern. And this is what the Turks must be cautious about. The liberals always complain that their proposals or requests are minimal in nature, and that compromise is needed, etc. and this is how they keep chipping away at our values and responsible form of government. Their compromises never consist of them giving up ground. It is an insidious strategy which has worked well for them.

2- My latest observations:

Gonul is repulsed by his touch, so why would she go see him to say "sorry"? She knows he won't let her go without a fight so why go where he can get his hands on her? As you said, her name should be Gofool.

Mete is also stupid. He ignores what Tekin tells him. He must suspect that he killed his sister, and Tekin even threatened to kill him. He doesn't take him seriously and thinks he can blackmail him and get more money from him. He has this carefree, smug attitude while he is begging Tekin to murder him.

Do all wealthy people in Turkey have armed guards patrolling the grounds of their home like drug lords? It seems that way in about every Turkish show.

Sermin is a wicked snake, another common trope in Turkish shows. There is always an evil woman in the plot, and a virtuous one.

Gonul's friend Aylin still has the wool over her eyes regarding Tekin. "Is it possible he has pre-mrriage syndrome?" Oh my God, she just won't accept the facts and put it all together. Tekin is a narcissistic, controlling, liar and whore monger given to fits of uncontrollable rage with a history of abusing women and getting away with it. Dreamy. Aylin seems to think Gonul shouldn't make such a big deal about his little faults because he's such a nice guy underneath it all.

Gonul spills the tea: Wow, it seems when a man touches a woman's hand in Turkey, sparks fly, hearts race, minds get stupid, hands get clumsy, and knees get weak. Butterflies, warm feelings, smiles and happiness. Now they have moved past affection and comforting friendship in their thinking. Gonul wisely dumps Tekin's stuff in the trash. Yusuf now knows there is room in her life for a new man.

Tekin does have a nice car. I can't tell what it is though. He is on the hunt for Yusuf now. I have a feeling the carpenter and his family are more dangerous than Tekin realizes. Tekin hides behind some ivy and snoops on Yusuf. Finally, Ozmel spied Tekin. I thought everyone was blind the way they never catch the spies. Ozmel obviously has feelings for Yusuf that he doesn't reciprocate, but she is hoping that will change.

Hilmi is making time with Tekin's sister Nese. She is walking about in one of his shirts and nothing else that I can see.

Tekin meets dopehead under a bridge or something. He gives him a package, presumably drugs, but are they spiked with something? Whoops, I guess he is having him committed to some rehab or mental institute. Killing him would raise too many eyebrows and questions. That was a smart move.

Everybody drinks tea when they sit down to talk. I would be so jittery I couldn't sit still if I drank that much tea.

Tekin arranges to have Yusuf sent to his home, or maybe that was a ploy to get Yusuf's name. Ah, he is going to have him sent to the whore's apartment and probably try to beat him or kill him there. The episode ends with an ominous scene where Yusuf's intuition should have warned him not to turn his back on Tekin, who studies him with evil in his mind.

3-Episode 8

Out of work, running low on cash now, Gofool ought to rethink turning down her daddy's money. She is selling her jewelry now. She would do better on eBay. Hilmi keeps calling her.

No such thing as justifiable homicide in self defense in Turkey I guess. Yusuf killed the machine gun wielding man who murdered his son and got sent up for murder. Another reason I don't need to go to Turkey.

Yusuf realizes something is up as he tells Ridvan "he has other issues with me", referring to Tekin. Does he know this is Gonul's ex?

Gofool Stupid-Idiot got histrionic when she learned Kursat gave her money and left his estate to her. Hilmi acted polite and understanding. "What?! How impudent! How bold! This is outrageous! I'm an idiot! I want men to hurt me and break my fingers! And you have the audacity to be polite?! Get out!" ...That a girl. You showed him!

Sermin and her man-bun, pony tailed, lover (she can't actually like this guy) secretly meet, right out in the open, to discuss schemes for getting all the old man's money. This dumbass metrosexual looking guy thinks he is in the big picture with Sermin. If his plan actually worked he would be tossed out like yesterday's garbage while she took the money and went shopping for a real man. He plans on leaking Gonul's heritage to Kursat's enemies in hopes that they will kill her, and Sermin will be left as sole inheritant. (Is that a word? Inheritant?)

Tekin tricks Aylin into betraying Gonul. That stupid girl is unteachable and easily manipulated. If she believed Tekin she should have simply told Gonul herself. Gonul shouldn't trust an idiot like Aylin, but then Gonul isn't all that bright herself, so I guess Gonul is destined to be betrayed. In some sense she deserves to be betrayed. Her real name is Gofool, after all. "I must talk to Gonul and you must tell me where she hides from me because Yusuf is a murderer." Aylin: "I could tell her that myself, but you say I must reveal the secret I promised never to reveal, so what choice do I have?"

Sermin has a mystery caller and she says "he isn't dead yet. don't call me anymore." Interesting. She really is a despicable snake. Kursat seems to be intuitive about other things, but he really picked a rotten apple when he hooked up with her.

Will Gonul consider what she knows and feels to be true about Yusuf when she learns of his conviction, or will she withold judgment about him until she learns the whole story? Gofool is pretty stupid and impulsive quite often, so I am betting she jumps to conclusions. Yusuf is considerate and gentle with her, kind and caring, and she can't deny that she has strong feelings for him. ...Yeah, that's not the kind of behavior she respects in a man. Yusuf is as bad as Hilmi. It's a soap, so she will run and believe the worst. Then she will doubt and finally learn the truth and say she is sorry. They have a moment in his shop.

Here comes Tekin to Gonul's hideout after Aylin spilled her guts. Mother Hatice slapped him good. And Tekin turns on his psychopathic charm. Gonul comes home and discovers the woman beater has discovered her hide out.

Hilmi is taking Kursat's advice to heart and getting serious with Nese. He wants Nese to stay with him. Now they are talking about bondage games. Racy stuff.

Tekin lies again saying he will leave her alone. Yeah, right. I sure hope they don't rehabilitate him in this story. No poker table for him.

Ominous music now s Yusuf looks around in his shop for his pistol. He remembers his promise to Gonul. And puts away his pistol.

Mete the drug head finagles a phone to call a "bro". He orders a gun.

Tekin is with his prostitute again. She wants to quit hooking and be a hairstylist.

I guess I was wrong about Gonul. Now she learns his son was murdered and he goes to his grave every morning. She didn't jump to conclusions after all. She goes looking for him. Yusuf tells her to stay away from him for her own good. He can't leave the past behind. He is planning his revenge and doesn't want her in the crossfire, and doesn't want her to be heartbroken if he goes to prison again.

Tekin figures out that Alie likes Nese. Tekin is getting angry that Ali likes his sister. Of course, he has to approve of her relations.

Sermin is freaking out, afraid that kursat might die before Gonul. She tells man-bun Alper (Alpo is a better name) to spread the word that Gonul is Kursat's daughter so some enemy will kill her before he dies.

Gonul goes through her sad, story review memories which lead to her love for Yusuf. And his strange rejection of her.

She wipes away her tears as Hatice comes home, then cries on her shoulder.

Mahmut spies Kursat leaving the compound. He sounds the alarm. Yusuf is ready for action now. As the episode draws to a close, he retrieves his pistol. Time to kill a dying man.

I wonder if Kursat is truly responsible for his son's death.

You have a very entertaining way of reporting on these soaps !! I keep on seeing the same mound of sawdust under the table but he doesn't seem to be doing much work - even that awful monstrous book shelf ( which was accompanied by a psych eval to Tekin as he designed it at the whore's house)couldn't account for that much. Doesn't the sorcerer's apprentice own a brush? The best or maybe worst is yet to come for you - I wont spoil it. Enough to say that his army of guards couldn't spot a top hat on an elephant. With regard to Megan Markle - married twice - 37 years old - no kids - marries Harry and is pregnant within two months - guess it must be true love - or something.

episode 9

Kursat's security team is about useless. Any team worth having wood not be grouped around the front gate and the cars, but would cover every line of sight to the old man. Yusuff could never have come within sight of Kursat if that security team was any good.

Also Yusuf ws an idiot to try to shoot him from that distance with a pistol. The sight radius on that kind of pistol isn't long enough to shoot accurately, very easily at that range. Also, it is hard to hold the pistol steady enough to reliably make an accurate shot from that range. There are people who can do it, but not that many. That pistol is designed for close range defensive work. Yusuf should have had a rifle to go hunting someone.

Yusuf made the right choice and has said he is foregoing revenge for Gonul's sake. Oh shit. Kursat is holding Gonul hostage "for her own good". Nobody likes to be patronized like that. She won't like that. How does he think she will forgive this? She should use fingertips to eyeballs. That will bring down a strong man.

Now the two dear friends and possible future lovers have to fight their respective families to put the family histories behind them.

Alpo kisses Sermin and a guard sees it. Busted. He rushes out to call the guard away to get rid of him. What a stupid guard. Now Tekin is in Mother Hatike's house rummaging through her things. Strange how they are now allies. Kursat wants to end the conflict, one way or another. Alpo killed the guard and dumped his body in the ocean. Now he wants to save Yusuf's family so they will still be around to kill Gonul. He really is as despicable as Sermin.

Episode 10

Gonul should have told Tekin " yes, go kick their asses Tekin. You can take them. Show them who is boss. I will wait here til you get back." She could have been rid of that bastard right then.

Since Mahmut told Alpo he was a worthless piece of crap, I think he might let Yusuf know that Alpo was willing to give up Gonul. He could then call Kursat and tell him about the traitor in his team. Alpo would deny it all, but Kursat would suspect he was guilty. Alpo would look to Sermin to save him somehow, but Sermin would not want to risk going down with him. Alpo would find out just how little she actually cares about him then. Goodbye Alpo, you're really dog food now. Not only has he betrayed his boss, he slept with his wife, and planned to kill his daughter so he and the widow would get the inheritance. A real despicable worm.

Tekin keeps calling Gonul his fiance, as though she has no say in the matter. She really should have sent him after Kursat's men. Then she stopped him again. Gofool. Now she has agreed to go back to his place, not realizing he just tricked her again.

Ozmel is talking to a friend, she is really into Yusuf. She refuses to believe Yusuf loves Gonul, but she knows it inside. That is tough. She doesn't seem like a bad person, she is just unlucky in love.

Alpo is really slow on the uptake. It has never occurred to him that he was being used. Even now he doesn't get it.

Tekin says "none of this would have happened if you had accepted me like him." Yep. It's her fault. He is blameless. What a narcissist. She tells him he is NOT her fiance. And he says "oh, yeah?" Why hasn't she plunged a steak knife through his chest?

Yusuf finally gets back. Ozmel meets him. She presses him about Gonul. She tells him Gonul is with Tekin.

It took Kursat's people long enough to check the security feeds. Now Tekin is rifling through Gonul's purse. He reads Yusuf's letter to her. Psycho Tekin is seething with anger now that he hs learned of Yusuf's affection for her. Will he go after Yusuf? Seems likely.

I wonder if Mahmut is dirty, if he sent the killer to Yusuf's house.

Markle probably aborted her previous pregnancies looking to better deal her options. Then she got a prince. So she kept this one.

2cnd comment:

episode 11

psycho schemes to get Gonul to fall for him again. Surely she will be taken in once more if he can fake acting like he cares about her and not just himself. A shoulder rub should do it. Now let me think, how do sane people act?

"I'll never leave you". Translation: I will never let you leave; I am stronger than you.

Nese is at home now. She has her own issues it seems. She seeks to punish her father, asking Lale "why did you marry such an ugly man?"

meanwhile, Tekin continues his self delusion, imagining they are a happy couple in love, planning their life together. Why is Gonul trying to ruin his happiness? She tries but cannot get Yusuf to answer his phone. She worries he is dead.

Mother Hitake: Gonul lets her know she is alright. She hears psycho coming and has to hang up. I wonder how long he will be able to control himself before he snaps and insists that she is going to marry her whether she likes it or not; then goes "oops, I didn't mean that. I promise I will never do that again. But you ARE going to marry me. I mean..."

Nese tells Ali to take a hike. Ali, smooth talker that he is, says "you're on your period, right?"

Nese basically tells him in several ways that she is done with him, so buzz off. And Ali acts so thick "Is something wrong? It almost sounds like you don't want to see me anymore." She could scream "EAT SHIT AND DIE" and Ali would say "Honey, you seem different, is everything alright?" Ali sits in his car with a confused look on his face. He is thinking to himself. (I'm sure I am not just imagining it, something HAS changed. She seems different somehow.)

Tekin eavesdrops on her phone message to Yusuf. He is struggling to contain his psychotic rage and act sane and normal.

Aylin still thinks Gonul should realize how lucky she is to have a finger breaking, woman beating, whore hopper for a boyfriend. If he is so bad, then why is he a rich doctor? What's a few bruises and broken bones when you could be so happy? Any other woman would be glad to change places with her. The graveyard is full of them.

Yusuf announces he is leaving Instanbul. Somewhere in this country they must be making TV shows which are not this soapy. His brother doesn't understand. Now he learns that Tekin was Gonul's fiance. This will change his plans I guess. He will have to save her.

Tekin's house is busy today. Tekin still has no idea Nese is seeing Hilmi.

Gonul has a meltdown and breaks a mirror. Now Tekin can really relate to her. (She is crazy, just like me!) Mentally broken Gonul stops fighting off the psycho woman beater, letting him kiss her. He thinks it is love, then she tells him she is numb to the world. He is as self deluded as Ali.

Aylin will probably get together with Ali. She is putting herself out there for him.

Hilmi is delusional also if he thinks things will work out with that unstable Nese for the long run. Right now the wildness is intoxicating, but later on I wonder if she will go psycho on him like her brother.

Tekin is still trying to control Gonul, to con her, to patronize her. She says she feels nothing for him, and he tells her "this is normal because of the stress, you will feel different later". Ali has less trouble seeing reality than Tekin. No, that's not right. Tekin thinks he can control reality, to force it to conform to his desires.

Gonul sees her chance, grabs her stuff and steals a car, sneaking past the guards. She is going to get to Yusuf by any means possible. Her disguise is better than Philip Jennings even without a wig.

Yusuf sold his house cheaply. He must still be planning to leave.

Ali chickens out on telling Tekin about seeing Nese, (preferring not to die today)- And finds out his car is gone.

episode 12

Gonul arrives in time to stop Yusuf. They embrace. She tells him how she feels. He gives her the bad news. She doesn't understand. He tells her he couldn't kill her dad, but the family danger won't go away unless he leaves. She drives off with him and Mahmut follows them. I still think Mahmut is a bad seed, has some hidden guilt. They go to Yusuf's hiding spot. to talk. Nice place by the water. Small, but expensive I bet. Location is everything in real estate.

Ah, Tekin lets go and lets his psycho rage out. I knew he couldn't control it long. Ali kept him from getting his brains blown out by Kursat's men. Somebody is always stopping him getting killed.

Gonul declares love greater than fear of death. A short happy life is better than extended suffering. Mahmut sees them kiss. Uh oh. What about family honor? Somebody needs to die now I m guessing. He calls the boss. He rats on Gonul, daughter of his enemy. "Kill them both." Yusuf's dad is worse than kursat was thought to be.

Tekin knows which buttons to push on Ozmel. She doesn't know he wants to kill Yusuf.

Yusuf kisses her burn scar. Love is making everything better. Sex in the hiding place. If they die now, at least they were happy. He leaves a note. Ominous music again. Danger afoot.

Tekin was waiting and watching. He sees Gonul in bed and realizes she slept with him. Psycho rage is boiling again. Can he control it? She must have really been sleepy not to wake up with all that going on around her. He reads the note and crushes it. Psycho eyes. Tekin is contemplating death. She wakes up to hear his cascade of rage as he smashes things and screams in rage.

Yusuf can't maintain his car apparently. No, it was tampered with. He realizes she is in trouble now. Did Mahmut or Tekin screw with his car?

Gonul is running for her life through the woods, and psycho boy is on her trail. "Come out come out. I'm not going to kill you honey. I'm just gonna bash your brains out. hahahaha"

Yusuf cuts through the woods. Wanna bet he runs into them? Bet she wishes she took up shooting now. You don't often need a gun, but when you need one, you really need one.

There he is. Psycho boy has shed his facade of sanity and let his rage out. Gone are his lies. He would never hurt her. Right. He will just beat her into submission. The lying bitch. You're mine. She bit him and grabbed his keys. But psycho boy is on her. Knee to the groin.

Tekin tells her: "You're just confused. You belong to me. I am going to kill him if he comes over here." He scares her into keeping her mouth shut.

Yusuf suddenly realizes who gave up their location.

episode 13

Sermi is hoping Gonul dies, hoping Tekin does her in. Ozlem realizes she put Yusuf in danger, fooled by the psycho into giving up their location.

Tekin is back to his normal controlling angry self. I told you she should have let Kursat's men kill him. But she felt sympathy for the devil.

She should jam her fingers in his eyeballs. Remember that if you're ever in danger. It hurts them so damned bad they can't think about hurting you. Then use the web of your hand between the thumb and forefinger and slam it into the throat as hard as you can. You'll break the hyoid, swell the throat, and kill them.

Or take a pencil or pen in one hand. With the other grab the back of the neck and pull them toward you suddenly. Their instinct is to pull their head back, to resist the movement. This exposes the underside of the chin and throat. Then shove that pencil up as hard as you can toward the back of the mouth. You can penetrate the soft palate into the brain. You may have to use the palm of your hand to hit it again a time or two to drive it in. In case you're ever in danger of life or limb, remember these things. Most likely you will never need to do these things, but it is good to know them in case you ever do. Better to know, and not need to know, than the other way around. Let the bad guy be the statistic, not you.

Now Tekin is holding her hostage, threatening to kill Yusuf if she leaves the room. She might need to call Kursat now and sick his men on Tekin. But she won't. She is debilitated by fear and her reticence to do something to hurt anyone.

Gonul should have told Lale that Tekin threatened to murder her friend. Instead she sits there mumbling I can't call him, I can't call him.

I just got to the place where Mazhar says Tekin can't love someone without destroying them, but he always tries to fix it when he acknowledges his mistakes; he's been that way since he was a boy. Yeah, it's normal for Tekin to abuse people, but he says he's sorry afterward so what's the problem? Mazhar not only enables Tekin, he defends his behavior. He is another awful father. Nese sets her father straight. He calls his son to his office

Mazhar now knows the danger, who her father is, and how far gone Tekin is. And he is scared.

Where are you? I've seen the wreck, Yusuf is in a coma, Gonul has amnesia and thinks her name is Julide or Juju, and she works as a hairdresser and thinks she is married to Tekin, who calls himself Ahmet when he is home. At work he pretends that she is away. Her friends think she is away "clearing her head". Hilmi has his goons searching for her everywhere. Hasn't he heard of private investigators?

I expect her to begin having flashes of memory coming back, having questions, etc. I am in episode 16 now, about halfway through. I stopped making notes last night when I got tired.

Bugger!! You've sailed past me again. I am on Ep 14. So the story description has finally happened then? It took it's time. I've been busy looking for a pencil to defend myself with - I shall never leave home without one again !! lol. Oh God - not more flashbacks - I hate flashbacks - it's just a way of padding the story out. How can she think she is a hairdresser? That takes technique and years of training - maybe she is just the shampoo and mop girl. Oh well - I shall be watching this afternoon - read you later!!

You have a couple interesting episodes coming up.

It sounds like you live around good people in a safe community and odds are you will never need to use violence. I don't mean to sound like a killer. But you just never know if something bad may happen. When I was a young teenager some crazy man grabbed me by the throat and almost choked me. And this happened in "Friendly Shopping Center" in Greensboro, NC. It was and still is a very safe town, and I lived on the better side of it. I thought I was going to die, it really scared me. And my friends were standing there in shock, watching it. I couldn't get my hands to his neck, he blocked them by moving his longer arms. I didn't know the counter moves to break out of that hold. As my sight begin to dim I faked passing out and he let go. He thought we were too boisterous, and he was probably right, but I had told him to mind his own business. Then he waited until I walked through an exit door from a department store and ambushed me on the sidewalk. That experience gave me an interest in learning martial arts and ways to defend myself.

That thing with the pencil is something British and American operatives were taught before they went into occupied Europe, in case they were caught and needed to escape. It is meant to provide a rapid and relatively quiet rapid death. The other techniques, poking the eyes is very painful and could cause eye damage, and the web of the hand to the throat could merely stun them to give you time, or if you hit them a bit lower on the throat you could kill them, but not instantly. But you would have time to do something else.

Of course, a sharp knee to the groin causes a man to bend over in pain. If you immediately grab his shoulders and bring your knee up as hard as you can and hit the underside of his jaw you can do great damage as well.

... I see the drastic changes in society, and the immigration to our countries of people, some of whom openly declare their intention to take over and impose their own system of government and social control over our peoples. Some of these radicals believe it is a righteous act to murder those who don't share their beliefs. In short, certain developments have introduced elements to our stable worlds which raise the possibility of someone finding themselves in immediate danger of loss of life. It is only at that point that you would ever even seriously think of doing the sorts of things I described. But having foreknowledge of these techniques can save your life or the life of innocents around you. If you're simply stunned by a violent action, as I was, it is very late to devise ways to defend or counteract the attack. When offered lethal violence, the proper response is to give it back in spades, to use brutal, overwhelming counter violence.

I do believe that if violent criminals are to be stopped, it must be their intended victims who do it. The police cannot protect us, though they would if they were there. The best they can do is to seek out and arrest those who have committed such acts, but the punishment doesn't deter them. These criminals don't want to get hurt, and if they learn that it is dangerous to attack people, they change their behavior. This is why violent crime rates always decrease after laws are changed to allow citizens to legally carry handguns. To some this is counter-intuitive. They would expect an increase in violence and killings. But most people are not inclined to do violence to others and act very responsibly with firearms. The crims however become afraid of meeting a violent end, and modify their behavior. Other crimes, such as robberies of empty homes while owners are away, do not decrease. But if they know that that frail female, little old lady or old man may be armed, they learn to avoid actions which could get them shot. Armed societies become respectful societies.

But the main thing is to have the proper mindset not to become a victim, and to know techniques to stop attacks. If you have daughters, find a class for self defense for women and take it together with them. They won't become killers or start beating people up. They will simply gain options for surviving attacks should they ever happen. I know you know that.

OK, I'm off my soapbox now. I get a bit passionate about the subject.

Update: If your arms are grabbed and held, you can scrape the hard sole of your shoe down his shins while simultaneously head-butting his nose. Women with heels can stomp the top of his foot and break the small bones there, preventing him chasing you. In fact, you don't need heels for that, but they are a great weapon.

Thanks for your concern - they are handy techniques to know. Fortunately (at the moment) we live in a fairly safe environment - normal people don't carry guns here - though knife crime is off the charts now - particularly in London which has a large non indigenous population now. I am sorry for that awful experience you had. I have only one child - a grown up married daughter and she rarely if ever goes anywhere without her husband. Compared to America our provincial crimes are more drug and burglary related. I have just had three new door fitted to our home and every window is double glazed and lockable. In this area most of the trouble is trivial - teenagers and young people getting drunk and running wild - theft of cars and motor bikes etc. Quite honestly there was a time when a woman could be out late on her own and walk home alone unmolested - that time has long gone - I wouldn't dream of doing that nowadays.

2

Ozmel has made some mistakes but so far she hasn't really done anything evil. I feel sorry for her because she gets hurt and is destined to be hurt. Yusuf wants Gonul and always will. She will be heartbroken as long as she pines for him.

Where are you? Have you seen the chase and the wreck?

I have just this minute seen bunboy force Yusuf to crash - amazingly he is lying in the middle of the road whilst Gonul has survived with an injured leg. Being as they both had seat belts on and there was no air bags deployed that I could see - that was a most peculiar outcome. Guess who just happens to be speeding by on the exact same road - Tekin of course! - this is where it gets odd because Tekin actually gives Yusuf CPR and phones for assistance. You'd have thought that he would have just left him to it but I suppose as he is a doctor those instincts kick in. Now Gofool has become Gozombie and is asking Tefik who he is (twice). I guess Tefik is on the first of his fifty first dates.

If you're still watching you've seen how strange it gets after that. Hilmi is sending the goon squad around searching for Gonul who is supposedly off on a trip to clear her head. "You know who" has told her she is his wife, told her that her name is Julide or something, and her nickname is Juju. He says his name is Ahmet. I don't know if she knows what he does when he leaves for work or not, probably not. She works at the hairdressers with Finade, who is no longer a prostitute, but is helping Tekin maintain the charade. Dopehead boy sends emails from time to time, pretending to be Gonul, telling everyone she is fine but needs time away. Yusuf dreams of life with Gonul while lying in the hospital in a coma. We will see how long Tekin can keep the real world and his fake world from crashing into each other and destroying his fake marriage. I imagine he will go crazy again when that happens.

Talking of fake marriages - Gonfishin and Tefik are supposed to be married - this is a bit of a fuzzy area - did they get married after the crash? Or is he trying to say that they were married before the crash? Why didn't they show us the wedding if the former - and if the latter why hasn't she asked him when did they get married - who was there - where's the photo album? all that stuff. And she is pregnant - presumably by the bearded one - how is Tefik going to take that? On the one hand is his rage going to overcome him again - or if not - how is he going to explain how she got pregnant being as they don't have sex. What is Figment trying to do - cutting her hair (it needed it) and dressing her in a whore's outfit - is she trying to put Teflon off her? Vermina is being a baitch to Hilmi - he is her sworn enemy now - and Bunboy is getting the idea that he is persona non grata now. Yusuf's father is acting as if he loves Yusuf which is odd as he gave the kill order for both he and Gonoffsomewhere - naturally she was going to tell him that his dad killed his son just before the crash. Bunboy has found Gonbutnotforgotten but I don't think he has told Vermina yet - maybe he is holding that in reserve in case she tries to get rid of him. (no in case about it) An ex client has found Figment. to be continued.
