I live in the USA. I just started watching this show through my streaming service. It is very interesting. I watch many shows like this for around the world. I look at them with almost an anthropological eye. I find it very interesting how other people live and hunt for homes. Seeing the similarities and usually vas differences is so interesting and mesmerizing!
I have enjoyed really learning about and understanding more the different regions and areas of the entire country, states, towns, etc. The history lessons, the tours, and interactive visits create wonderful insights and humanizes each episode, really drawing me in.
One thing that has really gotten to me and really touched me about the show is actually realizing the time frame from which the show was actually filmed and released. Grateful for the dates posted. It is wonderful to see the roaming and wonderful wildlife in the different regions. (Actually would have loved more, but maybe that would be a different show.) A couple of the beginning episodes discussed the kangaroos and koalas. I loved an episode where it appeared a koala π¨ actually appeared at the pool for a drink while filming the episode. But then realization sunk in, that the episode was filmed in like 2018, and I actually got sad and cried, because I thought all of this was life pre pandemic but even more so pre Black Summer! I just remember watching many news reports and shows trying to explain it to the world what was really going on and the true devastation going on. Not only did I worry about the people and towns of the areas from the show, the families, the animals, the history, the immediate impact and the long term affects and effects!
So thank you for a wonderful show, even if only for one season! The hosts were all so wonderful and friendly! So wonderful to see! Australia has been my dream vacation since I was little...lover of Olivia Newton John, Andy Gibb, Kangaroos, and koalas.
