方言（王志文 饰）和杜梅（江珊 饰）就像所有的恋人一样，在吵闹然后又复合的分分离离中经历了一段刻骨铭心的爱情。起初，两人的相处并不顺利，先是杜梅误会方言身边已有女友，而后杜梅借意透露将赴舞会，婉转邀请方言前往当其舞伴，然而误会又接踵而至，两人的关系陷入僵局。方言说“我什么也做不了时”，杜梅说“你可以做我的丈夫”，就如这般跌跌撞撞，方言和杜梅最终也走进了婚姻殿堂。方言外冷内热，对杜梅又爱又拙于表达；而杜梅敏感，与方言的矛盾因此频频升级，两人的身边似乎也出现了各自的“情敌”。然而，当彼此发现自己是对放心中无法替代的爱人时，一切却又已经无法挽回……

Fang Yan and Du Mei experience a profound and unforgettable love, just like any other couple, through a series of quarrels, breakups, and reconciliations. Initially, their relationship is rocky.
