( Kim ll Sung was a brutal North Korean mass-murderer/ leader who started the whole entire Korean War. He was never mentioned on Mash!)
An example. It was at jumptheshark.com that it was stated in early eps of Mash the foreigners to Americans are shown like a different group of Asiatics than Koreans. That the writers and directors had little sense at this time of what Korea was really like and ditto for it's people. In another ep much later someone tries to hit someone else with a pie plate and it's evident how soft and prop-like the plate is. In short these and other example on the show mean that the series' greatest weakness, outside of highly misplaced political philosophy-siding all along and messed up scruples as it got into it's later years, is that the show was noticeably very phony at times. Why did this show ever become such an Emmy magnet!?! Why!?!!!!
