I updated the episode dates to be on Thursdays since Apple drops them at 9pm that day. Someone changed them to Fridays and locked them. Why is this show an exception from other Apple TV+ series? See Mythic Quest and The Mosquito Coast as 2 other examples.

The date is based on the origin country of the show.
This is a United Kingdom show, not a United States show. In the United Kingdom, we will already be Friday.

Just because it's set in the UK doesn't make it a UK show IMO. It should be based on the network it airs on. If, for example, this was a BBC show then you would get no argument from me. But it's an Apple TV+ show and given that it is a US based network and all of their series release at the same time on Thursday/Friday, there should be a consistent rule for how they are all handled.

AppleTV+ is not an US network but a worldwide network.
This is officially a United Kingdom show. So, the date that should be listed is the UK release date. This is the same as for any other United Kingdom show.

We should probably be able to handle these kinds of cases better once this feature gets implemented, and it seems like it's already being worked on.
