Nadir Mahmudov is a professional sound designer, foley artist, and sound engineer with expertise in Dolby Atmos mixing and immersive audio post-production. He has worked on a variety of projects, including feature films, short films, animations, and video games, providing high-quality sound design and foley effects.
The film tells the tragic story of a mother, a victim of the Khojaly genocide, who accidentally suffocates her baby while trying to protect it from enemy capture. In the end, her freezing to death is symbolized by a stone monument dedicated to the victims of Khojaly.
The story is set during an upsurge in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and revolves around an old, sick ex-forestry worker and his wife Nabat, whose son has died in battle.
For thirty years now, a dilapidated house has been providing essential asylum to war refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh. Three generations, including the children and grandchildren of people made to leave their homes, struggle to scratch an existence on the outskirts of Baku. They are faced with common problems: loss of home, outrooting, sadness and illnesses.
