Discuss Henry Cavill

Henry is contractually obligated to play Superman one more time.

Do you want Superman solo or in a team (i.e., MOS 2 or JL 2) and why?

Anyway, I don’t think gold K would have helped BvS. SM and BM shouldn’t fight each other. Period! Without K, SM will kill BM by simply breathing next to him. With gold K, you will have a simple man fight Bruce Lee or Jean Claude van Damme. BM is a master martial artist, because he relies on that to fight crime. SM doesn’t have to rely on that. Oh boy. Weird that he was able to beat three of Krypton’s best soldiers. Keeping it simple isn’t ZS’s strong suit, now is it?

OK, let’s say they didn’t know how to control their new powers. That’s BS because what they needed was strength, durability and invulnerability and they could handle those pretty well. SM, on the other hand, had those and the heat vision. He could have really damaged their suit with it, but he didn’t do that either. What the hell? Maybe it’s not a good idea to analyze this story.

Having trouble explaining, Einstein? I don’t think they should fight either. But if they must, then gold K is better than green K. But if you change the K, you must change the story too. The story was stupid to begin with. So that would have been a good thing, because it would have had two less stupid things – a man fighting a sick man and a hero going from being in a dark place to complete psycho.

It was fun seeing CapA v Spidey or Winter Soldier v Black Panther. The MCU managed to keep the powerful ones away from that little civil war.

Hulk and Thor weren't there. They filled Scarlet Witch with so much guilt that she didn't go all the way. And Vision is a pacifist by nature.

When you don’t have some black blood in you, comments like that can be easily misunderstood by someone with some black blood in them. Do you care to elaborate?

Fair enough. However, refrain from editing my post when you quote me. That only makes it worse.

This has nothing to do with how relevant Superman is. The studio lacks creativity. Racial issues are very relevant right now. Therefore, the studio thinks that changing Superman’s skin color could make him relevant too.

That is utter nonsense. If the studio wants to change Superman’s skin color to try something new or to address racial issues, then by all means do it. But do not say or imply that it will make him relevant, because he is already relevant. He is as relevant as any other superhero.

By the way, ‘New Gods‘ is still on ice, because the studio wants the heroes to fight on Earth. But how can Superman fight a worthy adversary on Earth without the rest of the Justice League helping him? The studio seems unable to figure that out. Aquaman can happen under water. Wonder Woman can fight something like Cheetah and still look cool. Nobody expects that fight to destroy skyscrapers and satellites. Superman and Zod already did that. Now audiences expect Superman to fight something a level higher than Zod. That is not possible on Earth. Everybody will ask where is the Justice League?

WB DISSES BATMAN BEN AFFLECK AND SUPERMAN HENRY CAVILL ON NATIONAL SUPERHERO DAY

DCEU fans aren't happy with Warner Bros. who disses the Ben Affleck Batman and the Henry Cavill Superman on National Superhero Day.

Tuesday saw Warner Bros. tweet happy National Superhero Day and included four images: The Gal Gadot Wonder Woman and the Jason Momoa Aquaman from the DCEU, but WB used the Michael Keaton Batman and the Christopher Reeve Superman.

"To the ones who inspire us to be larger than life and teach us that anything is possible, Happy #NationalSuperheroDay!" tweeted WB.

The fans, especially the Snyder Cut fans, immediately noticed the absence of both the Ben Affleck Batman and the Henry Cavill Superman; check out reactions below.

How very perceptive of the ZS cut fans. But whether they like it or not, WB wants to forget ZS’s awful adaptation of the characters. And some HC fans should quit whining. WB shouldn’t use HC’s SM if they won’t make MOS 2, they used to say. Well, now WB left him out. Of course that’s not right either. joy

I don’t think WB cares about a few pesky HC fans. HC isn’t using fans to force a MOS 2 out of them. But ZS is using fans to force WB to release his version of JL. He and his minions are pushing really hard. You can’t even call it ZS cut anymore. A geek posted this:

Justice League: Why Zack Snyder Isn't Calling His Version The Snyder Cut

Specifically, Snyder's re-dubbing of the film would become more or less official with his release of a new Justice League T-shirt and hoodie through Ink to the People. Included on the design are the emblems of the six core heroes of the Justice League as seen in the movie, along with those of Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter. Additionally, the design also positions the title as Zack Snyder's Justice League, with Snyder's name displayed above the Justice League emblem on the front of the shirt.

First and foremost, it clearly and unmistakably positions the movie as the work of Snyder, while creating a distinction between it and the current wave of DCEU movies. Additionally, it also allows the franchise to sidestep any gaps in continuity that might arise out of its release, which can also be further explained away by Ezra Miller's cameo on the CW's Crisis On Infinite Earths crossover. Miller's cameo has effectively opened the DCEU up to the concept of the Multiverse (with the crossover itself also essentially nullifying the entire notion of reboots within DC's film and television catalog), and gives a perfect window to explain any inconsistencies that could hypothetically develop between Snyder's movie and the most recent DCEU films.

The Justice League Snyder Cut is a vastly different specimen than Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. That movie arrived in theaters shorn of a half hour's worth of footage that was later restored in the movie's Ultimate Edition. By contrast, the alterations made to Justice League had an infinitely greater impact on the final product, to the point at which one could consider the theatrical version and the Snyder Cut as, for all intents and purposes, two completely different movies: a point that has also been confirmed by Jason Momoa.

With that mind, Zack Snyder's Justice League is a much more marketing-friendly term than the Snyder Cut. While the latter sets the movie up to be seen as an alternate cut of the version that debuted in theaters, Zack Snyder's Justice League establishes his clear seal of approval that it is indeed his movie. What's more, it also severs any perceived bond Snyder's film holds with the theatrical cut, allowing the movie to be released not as "the other version of Justice League", but now being seen in the public eye as "the new Justice League movie directed by Zack Snyder".

Snyder's new title positions the film as an altogether new movie, and in doing so, immediately removes the barrier of Warner Bros. having to revisit the failed attempt to hastily remake a movie that studio executives are alleged to have dubbed "unwatchable". With Zack Snyder's Justice League, the studio is now in the position for a completely fresh start on marketing Justice League to the public. As a result of Snyder's re-branding of the film, the situation immediately shifts from releasing the original cut of a movie more than two years removed from its theatrical debut, to Warner Bros. debuting a new and completely different Justice League movie, one which requires no attempt at saving face, and which could even have further scenes added to it, as Snyder has recently teased.

The new title clearly presents it as Snyder's movie, while allowing it to be released without overriding the most recent DCEU movies, and positioning it as its own entity separate from the theatrical version. Most importantly, the new title coined by Snyder allows Warner Bros. to release it in a way that doesn't re-open old wounds while maximizing the bottom line by presenting it not as an alternate cut of a previously released film, but as an entirely new Justice League movie.

T-shirts and hoodies with Snyder's name displayed above the Justice League emblem. lol I think that WB is sending ZS a clear message. They’re not subtle about it either, because they used BR on their IG. lol Unfortunately for HC, his SM is more ZS than BA’s BM. ZS directed MOS, but he didn’t direct a BM solo film.

Anyway, I honestly don’t care about any DC hero anymore. I don’t expect a BOP sequel. So WW is the only heroine I care about. PJ said that they’ll take a break after WW84. We’ll see if I still care when they decide to come back.

Now replacing Reeve with Routh is disrespectful. As expected, complainers forget that Routh had to be Reeve in the 2006 Superman sequel. rofl

That being said, I think it's guilt, not Snyder. Warner Bros. Entertainment didn’t congratulate Superman on his birthday. That was on February 29. DC Comics used a cartoon and HBO Max used Cavill.

Routh was on Michael Rosenbaum’s Inside of You podcast on March 3rd. He talks about Superman, Legends and Bryan Singer and it is not pretty. But he also says that playing Superman again helped him heal. So, is it coincidence that Warner Bros. Entertainment suddenly included him and let him appear first?

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY

**Brandon Routh is still struggling with his departure from The CW's Legends of Tomorrow

The showrunners informed Routh and Ford that this would be their last season before production on season 5 began, and the real-life married couple wrapped on the show in October. Even with some distance from the series, Routh is still working through his feelings about his departure, which became apparent during a recent appearance on Michael Rosenbaum’s Inside of You podcast where he said his exit “was not well-handled.” When EW spoke to Routh last Thursday, he clarified what he meant by that, explaining that it came down to a communication issue.

“I just think that with my journey with the show and the time I spent in the Arrowverse, and what I’ve received from fans as the positive messaging and role model and spirit and energy that Ray Palmer has been able to share with the world, everybody wants that back, everybody feels they deserve communication and deserves to be a partner," said Routh. "And when you’re not made a partner, when you give that much time to relationship, it hurts. We’re in Hollywood and it’s the Wild West and everyone makes all those comments about it being a rough place, and that’s the truth. I’m an optimist at heart, so I’m always shooting myself in my own foot by hoping for the best in people and in the people I work with. When that doesn’t come from the top down [the showrunners], it has an effect on you and so it made what could’ve been a happy, positive exit, the opposite."

That being said, there was one thing that helped soften the blow of his unexpected departure: suiting up as Superman once again in the Arrowverse’s “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover.

“It was an amazing experience and honestly without [crossover executive producer] Marc Guggenheim approaching me to do that — You know Marc was crucial in bringing me into the Arrowverse in the first place — for him to give me this gift and this opportunity, it made all the difference. I honestly don’t know what would’ve happened to season 5 of Legends of Tomorrow if that hadn’t been offered," said Routh. "I’m eternally grateful to everyone who allowed that to happen because truly, personally, even before I filmed the first day, the whole process of the suit fitting and the photoshoot and knowing it was happening and the training, the wound that I had from how my first turn as Superman ended was healed and pretty magical. I’m grateful to the fans who also responded in kind. It was partially their response to the first reveal of the suit, that they were excited to see it, was validation. I’m only Superman if they see Superman."

Is CR holy or something? He was the first SM, but that doesn't mean he was the best. Every actor did well with what they had to work with. Those old SM films are awful to me, but I understand why my parents like them. Is their thing.

Routh was on Michael Rosenbaum’s Inside of You podcast on March 3rd. He talks about Superman, Legends and Bryan Singer and it is not pretty.

Olivia Munn said that BS disappeared for ten days from the X-MA set. He's a weirdo.

Pesky? When I see CR or BR as SM, I just continue scrolling. But when I see HC as SM, I’ll automatically stop. It’s annoying, because there are no plans for a MOS 2. So whatever the reason for not using HC as SM in that post… thank you. pray

I think that WB is sending ZS a clear message. They’re not subtle about it either, because they used BR on their IG. lol

WB could have done it deliberately to see how much fans want HC back as SM or to just ruffle some feathers for fun. thinking

I expected BR’s voice to be deeper.

WB Reportedly Now Considering Bringing Henry Cavill Back As Superman

However, we’ve now heard from our sources – the same ones who told us Green Lantern and Justice League Dark shows are coming to HBO Max, both of which were correct – that the studio are wary of the huge fan backlash that they would face if Cavill was dumped as Kal-El, and are now considering making him a prominent part of the DCEU once again. Especially since the actor has also reportedly agreed to take less money for a return.

Clearly, WB don’t want to face the kind of overwhelmingly negative backlash that there would undoubtedly be if they were to announce that Cavill’s time under the cape was officially done, and are now thinking about bringing him back.

Does THIS Mean Henry Cavill Is Back As Superman?

With Warner Bros. pivoting DC Films into a new, lighter direction than the previous adventures before Justice League, it seemed like Henry Cavill wouldn’t return for a second solo Superman film. But we recently learned new information which suggests the Man of Steel might be ready for a comeback in the near future.

WB ALLEGEDLY PLANNING HENRY CAVILL RETURN AS SUPERMAN

According to a source from Heroic Hollywood, WB is currently working on bringing back Henry Cavill’s Superman. As a result, they have put the standalone Supergirl movie in the backburner. If anything, it was probably for the best to put Kara Zor-El’s story on hold, seeing that we still have no solid grasp on where Cavill’s Superman stands at this point.

For now, fans seem enthusiastic about Cavill’s return. We don’t have any idea how far DC has come with development, but word is going around that J.J. Abrams has been given the reins to revive Superman for the cinema. We know he’s great at starting things, so hopefully Abrams give us an update soon

As long as HC is attached to SM, these rumors will keep popping up. I understand that. But the nagging about DG’s fault, more money and cameo are really boring. Moreso when they consciously leave out important things like what the director of S! said, the MOS 2 pitch that HC and McQ did and how actively HC was after the G role. They want to put the blame on DG. They believe that she gave HC bad advise.

Maybe we should do an investigation and post the findings in a docu-like YT vid or podcast. Many geeks have a podcast, blog or YT channel. DG used to produce a show about finding out what really happened and justice and so. Is hard to believe that someone who creates a show like that would refuse to work on a, let’s say, podcast that’s after the truth too. Although, her WIKI doesn’t mention the bankruptcy and the lawsuit about fraud. Every celeb with controversial has a paragraph about controversial stuff. A very convenient coincidence that she doesn’t have one. I guess it’s useless to approach someone who manipulates info and tell half-truths. She leaves things out just like the people who keep blaming her.

After the BR pic, I thought the headlines would say HC’s done as SM.

Not a bad idea. Someone will have to interview HC, DG, McQ, WB, DFS, LSH and NX. I call dips on HC and McQ. lol
