Not just SM. WW and BM too. That’s the “holy” trinity of DC. WTH snapped in DJ’s head or arse that he thinks BA can be above them? Somebody needs a freaking reality check ASAP.
I’d be too. They’re clearly using SM. HC must know that. On the other hand, maybe HC can’t say no, because of what’s in his contract. He was busy with MI6 and had a mustache when he had to do the cameo for Shazam. He’s not doing anything now.
What a shock. It’s funny how they announced the colab with Zoa and GSTQ, as if that’s something they really had to fight for. They’re BA’s producers and WBD is relying on DJ to promote BA to his 339 mil (mostly) sleeping IG followers. He can do any colab with himself.
Once upon a time, many wanted SM in the BA film. Not anymore. Keep headless and shadow SM.
Long before the world of heroes and villans, #BlackAdam ruled it all.
So yeah, before BM, SM, WW and SS (HQ).

Opening Weekend (OW) DC Films (+inflation)
$116,619,362 – 2013 – (+$148,264,585) – MOS
$166,007,347 – 2016 – (+$204,854,699) – BvS (Ben Affleck)
$133,682,248 – 2016 – (+$164,965,209) – SS (Will Smith)
$103,251,471 – 2017 – (+$124,755,594) – WW
$093,842,239 – 2017 – (+$113,386,707) – JWJL
$067,873,522 – 2018 – (+$080,054,195) – AM
$053,505,326 – 2019 – (+$061,984,322) – S!
$096,202,337 – 2019 – (+$111,447,534) – Joker (Joaquin Phoenix)
$134,008,624 – 2022 – (+$134,008,624) – TBM (Rob Pattinson so-so)
Trades and outlets are copying each other’s claim that BA is tracking for a $65-$70 mil (Deadline)/$70-$75 mil (THR) OW. The Wrap is using the same numbers as THR. However, it adds that a rep for Warner Bros., which has yet to release its own projections for “Black Adam,” had no comment for this story. Weird?… Sus?… Another planted story to create buzz?
So… "the biggest draw in the world" will give WBD*cks a… "record-breaking* $70 mil OW in 2022. WBD*cks must be in seventh heaven.
Most of DC’s films didn’t have a household name and they managed a bigger OW years ago. They managed a bigger OW without using another hero’s name and/or plant fake info.

MyTimeToShineHello: Yes Henry Cavill is back he has the classic suit with the Williams score and he says, "We need to talk Black Adam."
The classic suit is HC’s MOS suit, but it’ll have brighter colors.
TN made two 2022/23 Market Prediction. One Aug 18 and the update Oct 6. BA doesn’t appear on either 2022/23 Domestic Theatrical Market Prediction. Both charts start with TG2 ($701/$718 mil) and end with Sonic 2 ($191 mil). BlackP2 is #7 ($360 mil).

MyTimeToShineHello: Waller tells Black Adam he better not leave Khandaq. That it's his prison now. He says something like "Or what!? there’s no one on this planet that can stop me." and she says in that case she’ll get someone not from this planet to deal with him.
Out of the smoke and shadows you see a figure wearing a cape fly down, it's Cavill and he tells Adam it’s been a while since someone’s made the world this nervous and they should talk.

Fortress Of Solitude: When asked about Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam and his place in his DC Universe (also called the SnyderVerse), Zack Snyder said the following, “Yeah no, I mean I think he could fit in the world, so it’s interesting. In the Flash movie, you’re going to see my Batman, and…I don’t know.”

Superman Homepage: Speaking with Entertainment Weekly on the red carpet at the world premiere of “Black Adam,” Dwayne Johnson was asked about Henry Cavill returning as Superman.
“We’ve established Black Adam as the most powerful and unstoppable force on our planet. But the fans have been so passionate about, as we have been, where is the most unstoppable force in the universe?”
“We’ve all been fighting for this moment, so I will say this: welcome home”

DJ: "This serves not only Black Adam, but it serves the larger DC Universe. But man, more importantly than that, it takes care of the fans, and that’s what you want your lead foot to be. And yes, phone calls and meetings, but man, it was years...this was six years to get that done. I’m gonna say that again - six years, we first started talking about this, and they kept saying no. Now that leadership isn’t there anymore, because we usher in a new era in the DC Universe, and we usher out an old era."
Is there enough tequila in the world to wash away the desperation and shame?
Who are these people trying to fool? Fans said that WBD are using SM to give BA’s BO and the value of the DC IP as a whole a boost, so now they want the fans to know that the old WB regime is the one that kept SM from returning.
Firstly, the old WB regime wanted to get rid of the Snyder-verse. MOS was ZS’ first DC(EU) film and it was directed by him too. The tragedy that happened in ZS’ life was the perfect opportunity to bring in JW to completely change JL. I don’t like what ZS did with SM, but that was a c*nt move from WB. I like the WBD*ck name, but they’re worse than d*cks. They’re a bunch of soulless c*nts. And WBD is as bad as WB.
Secondly, the old WB c*nts don’t seem to be the only ones that wants to erase the Snyder-verse. The new WB regime wants to do that too. If rumors are true, BA won’t use MOS’ score or keep the colors of SM’s MOS suit. Why should the new regime care which JL the old c*nts considered canon?
Thirdly, SM isn’t back till he gets his own film. If the new WB regime is really bringing him back, officially announce MOS2. They won’t or can’t or won’t be taken seriously bc WB is going to be sold in a few months. Again, a new regime. Nobody knows what the future regime will do. What everybody should know is that the current regime is desperately using SM bc the biggest draw in the world isn’t the draw he thinks he is.
Uh-huh. But I think the OW will be front-loaded.
That’s kinda low. I think it’ll do better. I don’t think the controversies (yes/no recast CB and LW’s COVID comments) will affect the BO too much.

Is BA’s ticket sales really that bad? This is a new low. Why so open all of a sudden? Just a MOS2 announcement would have been too obvious. That’s why. So let’s air our dirty laundry. Let’s point the finger. Let’s reveal what we have been doing and our future plans. All this to divert from what they’re really doing with SM. How they’re using him.
Fans should not fall for this. If Zaslav could cancel a $90 mil, almost-done film, he can stop any project in development. The old regime didn’t want SM. Well, the old regime is gone. So, why should the return of SM depend on the success of BA or any other character? What kind of nonsense is that? It's just to sell BA ticket. SM was before BA or any other character. There are plans for a Flash sequel? What? And Patty Jenkins gets another shot after ruining WW84? What? They forgot about SM till DJ needed him to create buzz for his BA. Now fans get all this last minute stuff dumped on them so they’ll go see BA. Well, WBD can go burn in hell.
I’ll buy many tickets to see MOS2, but I won’t buy a ticket to see SM in a cameo in BA or Flash.
Zaslav won’t sell WB anymore.

The BA promo was the most chaotic and unprofessional promo I have experienced.
Fans said they’re using SM to help BA’s BO. Now… they fought for six years to bring SM back.
BA’s reshoot was planned in Feb, but it was moved to May. WH stopped SM’s cameo “earlier this year.” So… in February? May is more… mid of the year?
Saslav took over in April. HC’s cameo supposedly happened in Sep. Why did they wait till last minute to approve it? Negotiations lasted from May to Sep? Something’s fishy.
That wasn’t an official announcement. The WBD*cks aren’t saying much. They let DJ do all the talk. They let outlets spread rumors to get fans excited. They let their minions post on boards to watch BA if you want MOS2.
Yeah, what?
Swearing? Some… bad habits are rubbing off on you.
The second DJ started talking about helping WBD find its Kevin Feige WBD finds its Kevin Feige the Monday after BA premieres. It feels like Saslav didn’t like what DJ was saying. So… James Gunn is supposed to run DC for the next four years. Probably, a lot of… GOTG-like BS will be made.

Forbes: The Rock’s part of the scene was shot first and they edited it together in the hopes that Warner Bros would approve Cavill’s return, which only happened when The Rock went behind then-DCEU chief Walter Hamada’s back.
Did this also happen with SM's cameo in S!?
I doubt WH would approve an SM cameo in S!. There was no Saslav to overrule him.
Good things never rub off on people.

This is the last time I’ll pray to those three. lol
That was a really bad move.
It reminded me of how Ann Sarnoff ruined the ZS stans’ celebration the Monday after ZSJL was released.
I forgot HC has one more in his contract.
The two young winners looked like soccer moms taking the kids to a funfair while the 50+ owner looked like she was ready to assume her role as dominatrix in her red room of pain.
People who want to badmouth HC keep saying he refused to do the S! cameo. But DJ/DG claim that they kept getting no for six years. Sounds plausible. If WH said no to the SM cameo in BA, he likely said no to the SM cameo in S! too.

This!
THR – Jan 4, 2018: Hamada already has a close relationship with Toby Emmerich, Warners‘ president and chief content officer who previously headed New Line, and insiders say he impressed Emmerich with his overseeing of Shazam!, the lone DC cinematic universe movie with which the division finds itself involved. (The movie is due to begin production this winter.)
