NX Q3 2021: Later in the year, we will shift to reporting on hours viewed for our titles rather than the number of accounts that choose to watch them. There is some difference in rankings, as you see below, but we think engagement as measured by hours viewed is a slightly better indicator of the overall success of our titles and member satisfaction. It also matches how outside services measure TV viewing and gives proper credit to rewatching. In addition, we will start to release title metrics more regularly outside of our earnings report so our members and the industry can better measure success in the streaming world.

Now that we’re having fun with this stuff, NX wants to change it again. Let’s repeat the Nielsen WW84 vs Soul crap. The former is 51 minutes longer than the latter. Guess which one was #1. Yes, that WW84 crap. But when you do the math, more people watched Soul, which was an outstanding film.

I think counting 2 minutes as a view is completely BS. Millions are invested in a title and shareholders are supposed to be happy when subs watch 2 minutes of it. If NX reports hours viewed, then they shouldn’t ranked titles of different length in a Top 10 list. But where is the fun in not having a Top 10 list? Competition keeps the content makers on their toes. Now more than ever, they should be on their toes. Streamers need lots of content, but it must be of a certain quality too.

If I’m a shareholder, I’d want to know how many subs watched a title. I’d be happy if lots of subs had watched a good chuck of the title. So a view will count as a view when a sub watches 50% of the title withing the first 28 days of release.

If NX reports hours viewed, then they shouldn’t ranked titles of different length in a Top 10 list.

Exactly.

TW has 8 eps and is about 7hours+55minutes incl. credits or about 7h+32m excl. credits. Accoording to the Q3 report, TW’s viewed hours in the first 28 days of release were 541 mil. Also reported is the 76 mil subs that had watched at least 2 min of TW.

When you do the math, you could say that each sub watched 7h+7m of TW. That’s almost the whole thing for 3h+46m p/sub would have been 50%. Not bad. clap

I love how aligned all the numbers are. If you look at how LSH, TW and NX-G posted about the new TW posters, they kept posting the same way. Only the words would change. I love it. Yeah, I’m a little freaky like that. Move on.

Now, my world would be a much better place, if you start using acronyms like everybody else. Who’s Cavill? At this point, I don’t think HC knows Cavill means him. Online, everybody calls him HC. Also, IG links means login on IG to see them. Only IG links to vids. Upload screenshots of IG pics to ImgBB. Pretty, pease! grin pray

You just want to call me a nerd. This is kindergarten math, BH. And it looks like NX does count repeat viewing. Enola is 123 minutes incl. end credits. It had 77 mil views and 190 mil hours viewed. You could say that each sub watched 148 min of Enola. That’s 25 min more p/sub.

If a group of hardcore fans keep watching a title in a loop, NX will keep registering it as hours viewed? Seems like it, because they didn’t separate first from repeat viewing in the table on page 4 from the Q3 2021 Letter to Shareholders. Also, I was going to tell Triks that Enola has 76 mil views. But in the table it has indeed 77 mil views.

Well said. Blue wouldn’t know who Cavill is. She only knows what Cavill is. “At this point,” Henry Cavill “is no longer” a human being with a name. To Blue, he’s a beautiful object to have fantasies about. The object could have two letters (HC) or a number (1983) as name, for all she care. laughing

Netflix to film popular movie sequel at Dorchester Prison

Cast members are using a room above Dorchester’s Corn Exchange, in High East Street, as a 'green room' - also referred to as a dressing area.

A trailer is stationed within the prison entrance belonging to Location One, which is a firm working in the TV, film and events industry.

According to Production Weekly, Street Dogs is the working title of Enola Holmes 2. Netflix has not officially confirmed the news.

Scenes have already been shot in London and Hull for the sequel.

The production comes after national agency Casting Collective put a call out for male extras for a major film set in Dorchester which is due to start filming this month.

I’m on a quest to find out what comes after bride. I was called a stan when I was willing to drop everything and marry Cavill. Now that I’m no longer obsessed with his curls, square jawline and chest hair, I’m a bride. So I need to double down on the obsession and adulation to reach the next level. Cavill would call that gaming term.

NX's New Metric/Methodology

Every Tuesday, we publish four global Top 10 lists for films and TV:

  1. Film (English)
  2. TV (English)
  3. Film (Non-English)
  4. TV (Non-English).

These lists rank titles based on weekly hours viewed: the total number of hours that our members around the world watched each title from Monday to Sunday of the previous week.

We consider each season of a series and each film on their own […]. Because titles sometimes move in and out of the Top 10, we also show the total number of weeks that a season of a series or film has spent on the list.

To give you a sense of what people are watching around the world, we also publish Top 10 lists for nearly 100 countries and territories (the same locations where there are Top 10 rows on Netflix)

Finally, we provide a list of the Top 10 most popular Netflix films and TV (branded Netflix in any country) in each of the four categories based on the hours that each title was viewed during its first 28 days. For titles that are Netflix branded in some countries but not others, we still include all of the hours viewed.

All of the weekly lists and weeks in the Top 10 on the site start from June 28, 2021.

Weekly reporting is rounded to 10,000 to account for any fluctuations in internet connectivity around the world.

The Top 10 most popular Films (English), based on hours viewed in their first 28 days on Netflix.

Netflix secures more UK filming space, with deal to double presence at Shepperton Studios

The deal was unveiled alongside the site’s owner, Pinewood Group, announcing it will commit to expanding the studios, which are close to Heathrow airport. It now comprises some 14 stages, and that will rise to 31 stages, although not all of these will be used by Netflix.

Netflix is currently using Shepperton to film shows such as Enola Holmes 2.

Today Pinewood said it has agreed a “long-term contract” with the California-headquartered streaming giant to double the size of its existing production hub at Shepperton Studios.

Anna Mallett, vice president physical production at Netflix UK & EMEA, said: “The new contract with Shepperton highlights our commitment to investing in the UK creative industry and will provide a wealth of opportunities and production jobs, from entry level to heads of department.”

The company has been increasing its property presence in the UK this year via a string of deals, including signing for space in north London’s Enfield and at Longcross Studios in Surrey. It has committed to a UK production budget of more than $1 billion (£740 billion) in 2021 and some 10,000 people are working on Netflix original productions in the UK.

That wasn’t a level. As far as I know, it just applied to me, not everybody. In case you didn’t know, got that prefix because I wrote remind me to DM HC my new phone number. It takes little to be HC’s ex. I was supposed to be (I think) an obsessed Australian girl who flew to Jersey to stalk HC. I’d participate in the Durrell run to find a way to meet him. Apparently, HC would sharpen his security team and then ended up dating the stalker or something like that.

In retrospect, I should have had fun with that. The backstory was crazy and they believed it. If had lied, they’d have probably believed it too. But was kind of newbie. disappointed_relieved

Some people care too much about what anonymous people on the internet say to the point that they want to know who’s behind the account. Some keep it simple while others come up with very elaborate ways. Like HC once said through a surprising variety of ways. rofl

Remind me to DM LSH this story. Maybe she can write a screenplay about it. Oops! I’m her ex too. She’ll let my character be naked and in orgies out of spite. astonished

That girl is called a stalker because she went to the Durrell run. Remember Catherine? Or was it Caroline? She went to Durrell, has some pics with HC and joined Jujitsu like HC. She, too, was called a stalker. Then it stopped when someone said she’s a lesbian. That’s how you kill crappy rumors.

Anyhow, doing Durrell doesn’t make you a stalker. HC invites his fans to participate. At the red carpet, fans yell and push a little because they all want to give the celeb something to sign or take a selfie. At Durrel, I imagine that fans will be eager to see HC too.

But old hags will tell all kinds crap. That girl broke into HC’s home. She followed HC to Hungary. HC found her naked in his bed. And how exactly do they know that? laughing
