Of course, the 'insiders' already knew since as early as 2008 of the planned 'rad' reimagining of the Roddenberry Star Trek Universe. For some time now it is the Kurtzman-Abrams Star Trek Universe. The 25% difference rule is in fact 100% as these changes have a ripple effect moving not only forwards but also backwards encompassing the entire original Star Trek Universe.

Television: starting with Spock in "ST: Disc" , changes of the canon and background history have continued unrelentlessly, so it is no surprise that "(S)SNW" now has the characters Uhura and Nurse Chapel on the show.

Rumours: Sulu, Scotty and McCoy will also appear later - not sure yet about Chekov. The end of the planned 3-5 seasons of "(S)SNW" will be followed by Kirk - his character will also appear on "(S)SNW" - taking command of the USS Enterprise and a remake of the original Star Trek series.

Side notes:

As many others, I prefer new stories and characters, to not restrict the artist within us and to courageously explore the limitless potential of the human mind to create and build upon - and not alter - the past achievements.

I’m glad Nex posted .. at least we know he is alive and I can stop worrying.

That said, I’m a bit disappointed Nex didn’t stop to say hello ..so I will go sulk in a corner.

@I bought once ketchup but I didn’t think much of it .. here , it’s used mainly on French fries and junk food which I don’t eat.

Definitely, ketchup is not used to make/ or added to tomato sauce, ragu or bolognese.

We use tomato paste ( concentrated tomato) which you buy in a tub .. it boosters your tomato sauce’s taste and thickness.

Another food we don’t use is mayonnaise on panini /sandwiches or in salads ..salads are prepared with vinegar and oil and a pinch of salt.

I tried once popcorn and marshmallows just out of curiosity.

Hi there Sunshine 😍🥰and Wonder😎 sorry I haven't been here more but it has been incredibly busy over here .The Covid test line is getting bombarded with calls since there has been a rise in cases,Also we went into another lock down again.Meanwhile I bought my little washing machine and dryer and both work great.Also got a boiler because my heater broke down.Further bought some Philips Hue lamps so I have my light connected to my TV and I am currently looking for a new fridge/freezer combination .Hope you are doing fine everything is alright with me and I hope I will have more time to post here 😘💐🌸🏵🌹🌺🌻🌼🌷

New stock is just not coming in here.. there are very few option and it ‘s : take it or be without.

I remember watching the season two premiere on my phone when I was in the hospital getting my hip replaced aka getting borgified. My reaction: Personal Diety, Anson Mount is terrific! I had seen him in the AMC series Hell On Wheels (which was a pretty decent show. Colm Meaney from Deep Space 9 and the rapper Common we're also in it), and thought, "you know, under all of that hair and beard, he's kinda cute!"

Chekov was supposed to be at least 10 years younger than Kirk. So if they're showing Kirk as a younger man, Chekov would still be in Middle School or something.

I don't see why the writers couldn't just leave established characters alone (eg Sulu was not gay and Spock was not in love with Uhura) and just add some new one ...the old trekkies would have tuned in to watch their beloved characters and everyone could have enjoy the new ones together. Logic.

Going back to Strange New World's ...I read that the writers want to explain why in The Cage Spock was smiling ... we all know why.... because the character traits were not yet refined .. so why not just gloss over that part.

and what about Spock and T'Pring ?

We know that they bonded at the age of 7 and then they never saw each other until Spock went through Pon Farr in Amok Time..so I don't see how T'Pring fits in the narrative while Spock is with Pike.

Expect NuSpock to share his feelings with Una or one of the others. Perhaps flashbacks or a real meeting with T'Pring.

NuSpock was referring to the alternate Spock in JJ Abrams crap films.

Spock had his first pon farr in Amok Time that's why T'Pring loomed up because they were supposed to get married and consume ... Spock has no reason to go visit T'Pring and we know that they only met to bond when they were 7.... so having them meet , or Spock having a flashback of them as adults will go against canon.

I hope we are not going to get some emotional Spock like NuSpock that couldn't keep his emotions in check... JJ.Abrams got a way with it by saying it was an alternate reality ( which is poppycock of course ) but this is the original timeline...Spock was raised on Vulcan and he embraced logic before he left Vulcan for Star Fleet. This idea of the writers that want to address why Spock is smiling and showing emotions in The Cage is a bad idea... what ever they come up with is not going to make sense. They should just drop the issue.

NuSpock is how I distinguish the emotional Spock from "Star Trek: Discovery", who was saved by Michael Burnham, from the original Spock in (S)TOS .

Finally, I watched the links to all the cast ....I think I'm going to root for UNA, I already fancied Majel Barrett's.......... love the blonde haired Chapel look even though I don't get why she is on the Enterprise under Pike. Maybe Spock has a flashback of his future with T"Pring...... doesn't make much sense though.

Nimoy's Spock suppressed his human side for he believed logic was the better way. Here it seems we have a very emotional Spock ...I guess that's the writers trying to transition The smiling Spock from the Cage to the Nimoy's Spock under Kirk.

Will just have to wait and see how the story unfolds.

You mean close an eye on the parts that irk you or literally not watch the series.?

I watched ST Discovery season 1 pretending it was just a sci fic series and I liked Lorca but he was killed off.

I watched season 2 because I really enjoyed Anson Mount's Pike and Peck's Spock... but they were left in the original timeline together with Ash Tyler ( another favourite of mine)so after that I stopped watching.

I haven't seen Picard.

I 'm wiling to give the series a shot ...

I probably won't watch it at all. Having an actor I like, in a show I'd hate, doesn't inspire me to watch it. If anything it sours my previous like of an actor, that they would do such a thing.
