It seemed to be everywhere, and I'm looking at the clock. There were parts that are redundant and or very familiar. Perhaps, I made it up in my mind. Where's my pill?
That's all for now.

I have to say, I'm really enjoying this season. I've loved every second of it.

I thought nothing could top Hotel as the worst season of AHS...but this season is definitely getting there. I bought the entire season so I could stream it...boy was that a mistake. This season is terrible...beyond that even.

That's exactly what I was hoping for...not this political nonsense.

Hotel was not my favorite- but it was not my worse. To me that Roanoke reenactment debacle was- until now.
Seriously, You have my sympathies
Yes, I so agree. It is terrible and beyond.

I guess I shouldn't watch the latest two episodes. I was thinking of having them play in the background.

I was thinking Peters should be nominated for an Emmy as he is so good as Kai but... the show lets him down. This past episode has completely gone off the rails with him not just thinking he can start a political movement but a religion as well. Is that what he garnished from the increasingly creepy looking Rick Springfield (dude, what happened, man?). Peters is fine actor wasted in this crap. The entire premise from the moment Kai ran for city counselor has been absurd. Insulting really. Expecting the audience to buy this nonsense. The show runners have run out of ideas\shock value and are now churning out chum.
If Peters isn't bound by contract I hope he walks away like Lange, Bates, and Gaga.

I always wished Peters would be given much larger roles/more screen time in some of the past seasons, and now he is the star -and they give us this BS
- what a waste

Why create these far fetch ideas? Why not borrow from the tried and true rules of real life cults? This show's title was Cult. Why didn't they show us a cult? Why not have this cult with a purpose and follow the usual habits of cults?
Habits of religious cults that could apply to non-religious cults.
Opposing critical thinking -- kind of happens on the show
Isolating members and penalizing them for leaving -- this doesn't happen on the show
Emphasizing special doctrines outside scripture --- this doesn't happen
Seeking inappropriate loyalty to their leaders -- kind of happens on the show
Dishonoring the family unit -- this doesn't happen on the show
Crossing Biblical boundaries of behavior (versus sexual purity and personal ownership) -- this doesn't happen on the show
Separation from the Church and I would say separating cult members from loved ones -- this doesn't happen on the show.

This season would make a whole lot more sense, supernaturally, if Kai had some otherworldly power over people. Mind control specifically. That would account for the "blue shirts" and their instant loyalty. This is a "horror story" right so where is the supernatural? Every season has had it till this one.
I mean if a low level city counselor from nowhere USA was shot at a rally do you think men from all over the country would drop everything and become his faithful army?? Only if Kai was a demon and could summon the weak minded to him!
As it is this season makes no sense not even as fiction. I wonder if Paulson, Peters and crew had any idea how ridicules the season was gonna devolve to and if not are kicking themselves for being involved (unless they had contracts though I think Sarah is in a position to renegotiate if she thought there was a serious problem)?

It's even worse than the two episodes I saw of Hotel, and by farrrrr worse than Roanoke.

After watching ep 9 and seeing how absurdly loyal the blue shirts were (well except one) I had given up all hope in the season righting itself. Then Ally becomes bad-a**! Now how this will all end next week I don't know and almost do not care (I can guess, well really, there is only one way for it to end) because though Ally gave me reason to smile, nothing forgives the mess this season has been.
For examples, the city counsel meeting was 100% nonsense. No township or city would be able to isolate itself into a single server network without the FCC stepping in. And Kai is not powerful enough to take on the feds. So that was absurd. Then the willingness of those buzz cut idiots. THEN Oz taking so immediately to Kai.
As stated earlier, all this would make much more supernatural sense if Kai had a demonic power that let him control minds. Jones, Koresh, and Marshall Applewhite took years to create their following and brainwash them into dying for them. Kai does this in what seems to be half a year!
So however good this may end I hope this IS the end (unless the show has been renewed already).

Bless you, for sticking with it. I gave up about 3 or 4 episodes. I've learned from Hotel that it doesn't get better if it's a hot mess from the get-go. Hopefully, the next season will be better.
