We are talking about when they were eight years old. While I can picture Penny always being as she is...a rule-breaker…Bernie not so much.
Yes, NOW, Bernie’s persona is that of a pistol packin’ mama. But I don't think it always was that way. I think she was more of a sweet, little daddy’s girl who finally saw the light. Even when she was first introduced she displayed none of the "P-and-Vinegar" traits that would later come to define her character. In fact (I can’t recall the episode) I remember her telling Penny how?/why?/when? she transformed from the mild-mannered to the sugar-coated we know and love today.
