4 episodes in, and it's the first Marvel Netflix that doesn't have the pacing issues of all of the other series. The cast is also the strongest. There are no annoying characters like Malcolm or Foggy. Finn Jones actually has charisma unlike Charlie Cox or Mike Colter. All of the characters are engaging and there are no meandering side plots with boring characters that feel like they are just there to pad out the episodes.

I'm 4 episodes in and loving it. Not dull like JJ could be sometimes and Cage WAS more than not. My only complaint so far is the Kun Lun scenes, which look very cheap.

@Urban Commando I'm on episode 10. It's brilliant. The plot is so much more engaging than Luke Cage (though I did enjoy that).

Are you for real? If you really think that Iron Fist's fighting choreography is better than Daredevil's you belong in a loony bin.
The first thing I noticed were the horrible fight scenes and it was such a downer. The fight choreographer and the director should be fired and never have the job in the industry ever again. FFS.
Finn Jones just does not portray the type of person who trained as a warrior monk for 15 years. They should have casted someone who actually looks like a shredded monk. Basically a white version of Bruce Lee.

I agree the Kun Lun scenes were disappointing. But none of the Marvel Netflix series have splashed out on special effects, so it's not a surprise.
And Komrad, both seasons of Daredevil had exactly one good fight scene. You seem to be judging Daredevil on only it's best fight scene, and Iron Fist on its worse. Why would you do that? I assume you haven't watched every episode of Iron Fist yet. There were plently of crappy fight scene in Daredevil. The fight between Daredevil and Fisk was a terrible fight, and it was supposed to be the climax to the first series. If you compare the ninja fights in the second half of Daredevil season 2 with the ninja fights in Iron Fist, then Iron Fist wins hands down. Not even a question.

I think the fight scenes could be great, but you can't tell because of the bad editing and sloppy camera work. The fights were shot way too close, pan out, let us see the action fully.
There were a few redundant conversations going on between Joy and Ward in the beginning. The show slows down around Ep8 but it's picking back up. It's not a terrible show, I'm enjoying it. But it could be a little better. Just like all the other Netflix Marvel shows that I still loved. They all had issues. But as whole were still great.

I've watched it all. And I loved it. I felt the story was engaging and it kept twisting and turning and I had no idea how it was gonna turn out. It's definitely my favorite of the Netflix Marvel show. And before I get attack for saying that remember it's a matter of personal opinion. I'm not hating on the other shows and saying they are inferior, I'm saying personally I enjoyed this show more than the others. If you loved Daredevil more than this, great for you! No judging :)

Is Luke Cage a good show? Would you recommend it?

It was good, but best Marvel show from Netflix? Nope, Daredevil is still king.

Also Finn doesn't look like he has any muscle to fight off these guys. Like I mentioned previously, he doesn't have to be big, bulky, or even have a 6 pack but he should look like a warrior that has been trained for 15 years in a remote monastery.
In my country, the carpenters are not big and buff like in the West/US, they are small and compact but they have a lot of muscle and have a look similar to Bruce Lee in build. Finn should at the very least look like that or something akin to it IMO.
I think the director should watch some martial arts films to get an idea on how action scenes on a budget can look fantastic on film/tv.
-The Raid
-early Jackie Chan films from the 70s-mid 80s
-Biao Yuen films
-IP man trilogy
-Toshiro Mifune's samurai films
-Tatsuya Nakadai samurai films

I actually like the story although the dialogue can be iffy especially the ones coming out of Danny's mouth.

Yes I think it's good and I would recommend it, but again it's a matter of personal opinion. :)

Okay I decided to carry on and watch the rest of the episodes, and I found out what's been bothering me -- it is the Danny Rand character, or more precisely the actor playing Danny Rand -- Finn Jones. He's not an action man he's more like an 70ties hippie with his curly hair and the lame hipster beard, and he's not believable as a hard trained fighter monk with tremendous power in his fist -- he would fit nicely in a Hallmark family movie as a pre-school teacher or something like that.
-- and his constant whining really pisses me off!

Whenever I watch him - Finn - all I see is Loras from Game of Thrones. He is so very unlike Cox who could play a naive innocent prince charming in Stardust, an Irish gangster in Boardwalk Empire, or the blind Catholic playboy in Daredevil. Cox has range whereas Finn doesn't unfortunately.
The actor playing Ward otoh is fantastic and I could actually see him playing the character of Danny Rand as well. He can be both vulnerable and a badass if needed.

Yes Tom Pelphrey would've been perfect as Danny Rand -- he looks more like a warrior monk and he's a terrific actor. I actually felt bad for Ward as he was a victim as well as a bad person.
