4 episodes in, and it's the first Marvel Netflix that doesn't have the pacing issues of all of the other series. The cast is also the strongest. There are no annoying characters like Malcolm or Foggy. Finn Jones actually has charisma unlike Charlie Cox or Mike Colter. All of the characters are engaging and there are no meandering side plots with boring characters that feel like they are just there to pad out the episodes.

I agree that the show is pretty good, though I liked Daredevil season one a bit more. I really disagree with all the hatred that the show seems to be getting (only 15% on Rotten Tomatoes!), as it definitely seems the critics had made up their minds before the show even premiered.
I watched the first 5 or 6 episodes last night, and I enjoyed them. Where some people have accused the show of being "too slow" or "boring" in the first few episodes, I didn't feel any of that. The early episodes followed a reasonable series of events based on the show's premise, and went on to build the story from there. Daredevil didn't get into dealing with The Hand as fast as Iron Fist did, and Jessica Jones and Luke Cage hardly even touched on it, as I recall.
Blargh. I like the show so far, and I'm going to continue watching it and hope for a season 2 later on down the track.

Everything said about it is totally off. It's by far the fastest paced of the Netlflix shows. I don't think I've ever seen such a dishonest critical reaction. At least in the negative sense. There are plenty of stinkers that get good reviews. I've never seen it the other way around though.

I agree, I've watched first 6 episodes and loved them, not been bored at all by them. Something stinks concerning the critics to all give it negative reviews when I'm seeing across the people enjoying the show.

I so strongly disagree with you, sorry. I'm doing a marathon of Iron Fist right now and I'm on episode 7 at the moment.
The only other Marvel show I watched completely was Daredevil which I surprisingly enjoyed. Before that, I tried to watch Agent Carter as I love the whole 40s period setting but couldn't make it past episode 3. But perhaps I should rewatch it again. So far, I think Daredevil is the best of the mere 3 I've seen. I love the grittiness, how the action/fight scenes are shot, love the actors and characters they portray, and unlike you, love the pacing.
But this doesn't have any of those. I watched this because the trailer appealed to me, a young man presumed dead comes back to fight for his company and The Hand. But despite the great premise, it has many flaws IMO:
-the fight scenes
I think the scenes were either shot poorly by a director who doesn't know how to shoot such action scenes or the actors were very slow and awkward in their movements, perhaps both? The fight scenes remind me of Eric Bana's film Hanna. And I like Bana but the scene in the train station (I think?) where the camera does a courtesy encircling of the 2 combatants made me cringe. And the fight scenes here remind me too much of that poorly shot film.
-the actor Finn
I think he was a poor choice for the role, he says his lines awkwardly, he has no brevity nor any charisma. And to be frank, I don't think he's that good of an actor. I think this film would've excelled a few notches if they switched 2 actors in their roles. The actor that they have playing Ward (Pelphrey) would've excelled as Danny IMO. I first saw him in the show Banshee (a horrendous show where he was the only standout, he appeared in season 2). He is charismatic and believable as an anti-hero, he can also portray both strength and vulnerability, innocence and cunning. He has depth and dimension that Finn lacks severely.
The actor Finn otoh looks like he would fit in the role of Ward much much better. He looks like a better fit of an overlooked son of a mogul. He just looks too clean and too pretty, he cannot convey mystery nor someone who slept on a dirty mat for 15 years. He simply looks too feeble to be a convincing warrior. And I don't mean bulk and muscles like Schwarzennegger either.
Have you guys seen how Tom Pelphrey looked like in Banshee?
Pelphrey in BANSHEE
Of course, if the roles were switched, I also doubt Finn could portray the complexities of Ward because he simply isn't that good of an actor nor is he that complex.
But otherwise I still enjoy the show and think Pelphrey is astounding as he was in Banshee. I hope he makes it far as he really is impressive and can raise a show by his performance alone.

My biggest problem with Daredevil is the lack of charisma of Charlie Cox. Other than the two hallway fight scenes, I found most of the other fight scenes kind of boring. The Iron Fist fight scenes have flair and are exciting. It's odd that you should like Charlie Cox's Bland Devil but find Finn Jones bland. I also found the actor playing ward to be the weakest part of the Iron Fist series. The rest of the cast is great. Ward is kind of bland to me.
So basically you have exactly the opposite opinion to me. I guess I'll have to take your word for it that you are being honest.

I find Cox charismatic actually and he has a depth that Finn has. He can also play an innocent naive boy like he did in Stardust, and it was there that I first took notice of him.
You didn't find the fight scenes awkward and slow? The combatants looked sluggish and like they were waiting for every hit, obviously anticipating it. And it shouldn't be obvious, it should flow like a dance which this doesn't achieve.
Ward is bland? Cox is bland? I guess we have to agree to disagree but that shocks me tbh.
Why wouldn't I be honest? Are you perhaps projecting? I find people who troll/hate speak tend to project their thoughts and characters unto others. Have you never loved or disliked something others thought the opposite of? You must be new to films and tv.
Everything has to be political and dramatic with you guys, you're very strange.

As much as I like all the actors playing Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage, Finn Jones has more charisma of all of them. So I agree with @A to Z

No. They were great. I have no idea what you are talking about. I haven't seen any other TV show with better fight choreography. Ever.
It's just odd that you are saying things that are so irreconcilable with what the actual serie is like. And I have seen a lot of these same sentiments coming from reviewers who are obviously racist.

You think I'm racist because I didn't like Finn or have qualms with the show?
LOL! Where does that come from?
Perhaps you are racist because you don't like Cox or Pelphrey? Perhaps you're racist because you don't like Daredevil?
See how incredibly crazy that sounds? You people are very weird indeed and if you represent other's opinions on here, then you really don't represent yourselves well, sorry.

I just explained to you exactly where it comes from. Yet you are still playing dumb. Which raises my eyebrow a little more.

Playing dumb? I think you're a conspiracy theorist or perhaps a bit loose in the head.

Are people joking when they say Finn Jones is a good lead? He's the worst thing about the show. Jessica Henwick is way better.

I'm on the 'too slow paced' and 'too bad fight scenes' wagon -- on ep. 6 now, and so far I'm not impressed. Luke Cage and The Dare Devil are way better. Jessica Jones didn't do much for me.

Just finished ep. 6 and wow, what an anti climax! :-(
Don't know if I even wanna go on to ep. 7, or just quit here.
