Season 2 ended with Phil shot and on his way to Noregard, Sarah shot dead, and a science experiment in the cemetery, which failed to resurrect Elishia, but which did apparently push the boundary line back out. And there were some interesting minor cliffhangers as well.

Kate finally told Owen everything (after the cemetery science and death scene). He said he had to go get some air, stepped outside and we see him on the phone saying "hey mate it's Owen. Yeah yeah, I gotta talk to you". So who did he call? What was he going to tell him? Owen seems to be secretly spilling the beans on Kate, which cannot be good for her. Will this ruin their relationship? If so, will she hook up with her husband James again and take care of Sarah's baby?

Kirstie has a secret. Kirstie and Charlie went to the Royal. Kirstie got sick and vomited in the toilet, then put her hand to her tummy and said "oh fuck". So she is pregnant. But who is the father? Is it her boyfriend Kevin Brunner? Or is it the rapist Pete Rennix? As far as we know, she has not hooked up with anyone since she came back, so it would have to be one of those two guys.

The last scene shows William back at the cemetery blowing on that resurrection whistle thing, and the ground then showed that same pattern which was produced by the sound part of the experiment. Does that mean more people are going to arise in season 3?

Glitch has already checked the gay guy box with Charlie remembering his secret boyfriend from the war, and getting hit on by the aging gay bartender at the Royal. So we should expect season 3 will show Charlie with a love interest at some point.

Also, Phil is not dead, as everyone thought when Sarah shot him at the cemetery. Dr. Heysen took his body "for study", and James allowed it since reporting the death of Phil 2.0 and Sarah 2.0 might have led to interesing autopsy findings and questions nobody wanted to answer. Will Phil submit to testing at Norgard? Or will he escape and continue his campaign of killing the resurrected?

Also, why exactly did Phil, Vic, and Sarah immediately return to life, with memories intact, and a mission to kill all those who came back to life? They mentioned that there are rules, you're born, you live, and you die, in that order, and that breaking those rules upsets the natural order in some way. Will the writers elaborate on these issues or will they leave them shrouded in mystery?

I see there are only 6 episodes, so whatever they intend to show us, it won't take them long to do it.

I would like to see Kadim and Efruz and Farise finally together - I think Kadim is going to end up killing Yacub - he has too - justice wont be served until he is dead. He is still under arrest at the moment so how he is going to get out again I have no idea - unless he enters into an agreement with Arif - that if he helps Arif get the real villain of the piece - Yacub - who is the head of the snake - Arif will let him escape from custody and he can go to Germany with Farise and Efruz. I am not sure he will confess to Efe if Yacub is dead. They don't mention the state of Efe and Seda's marriage - what is going on there? Is it still in force? He signed the documentation as Mete - but he isn't Mete - so is the marriage still valid? Seda - I don't see how she has enough access to Nisan to poison her. They all live separately now. I hope they are not going to kill Nisan off - that would be a waste of watching 50 episodes and I would be very annoyed at that. The furthest they can go with my permission is to put her at death's door in need of a blood transfusion or a kidney and only SEDA can save her. Now then - what do you think of that? Will this be the redemption of Seda - or will she cackle evilly and fling her hair over her shoulder as she exits the hospital. Bora will then intervene - the man in black will say - without Nisan I will not work for the company - without Nisan the designer genius the company will fail - you will be poor and powerless again - make up your mind Seda. The actress who plays Seda is quite a good actress - some of her weeping scenes where her eyes are all swollen and hopeless are very well done. I think she is very pretty - she has lovely eyes - I don't think she is a psychobitch in real life - you should be safe dating her - but then again - if it rained it would be your fault - if some other woman gave you a passing glance - it would be your fault - if the steak wasn't medium rare...……...

No, the marriage license was signed as Mete. Efe got scolded by the police chief, but since he handed them the evidence on Yakup and did nothing else wrong that they know of, they didn't prosecute him for identity theft of his brother. And though it took a little while, once the hard evidence of Yakup's guilt in everything was given to the police, they figured Kadim was innocent. I'm sure no prosecutor would want to take him to trial as it would be a sure loser of a case. So Kadim will get out of jail. --Oh wait, are you talking about him going to jail for breaking out of prison? Right. I don't recall how, but that was finally dismissed. Maybe because he was wrongfully imprisoned in the first place, they didn't want the publicity of a case where the accused was wrongfully jailed, and while in jail he had to fight off a murder attempt. Bad publicity for the justice system. I am not sure how Yakup will wind up. I am not sure the writers want Kadim to keep killing now that his daughter is in the picture, not even for revenge, although he did run Mazhar and Yakup off the cliff (and lied about doing that). Efe has the stronger motive to kill Yakup, but I don't think they want him to sully his hands that way. Yakup kept saying he feared dying in prison. So it sounds like going to prison might be a worse punishment for him, at least the script is laying the foundation for that. If the character stays true to the nature they've shown us so far, Seda would definitely flip her hair and wish Nisan a painful death as she strolled out of the hospital in that scenario. I don't want to give anything away, but I will tell you I was wrong about the poison. Bora has been helping Nisan during her sickness, and Efe has seen them together and wrongly assumed that they are now an item, and Nisan has been lying to him. So he is depressed, and feels betrayed. Nadide and Burkat are the happy couple still. I think he is embarrassed that she (apparently) makes more money than he does, but he handles it fairly well. He takes an extra job to make more money to get all the stuff they need to get married (according to Nadide). They are showing Ismail as a sort of lovable curmudgeon now. He can't bring himself to give his blessing for his only daughter to get married and leave the home, so Fatma finally breaks the silence and says "yes, of course we give you our blessing". Ismail tells his wife "how did our little girl grow up so fast?". I only got a few things partly right in my predictions. But I expected that would be the case. ...Yes I didn't really think the Seda actress is like that in real life. She is an actress after all. If she were truly such a bitch no one would work with her. lol

I wonder if the same guy did this show as did Ezel. I have not checked on that, but they use the same time lapsed segues of those boats in the harbor, just like they did in Ezel. I like those short scenes of the boats quickly sailing and maneuvering.

2- I don't want to spill the beans, but I think I know how Seda will get what she deserves. One of her schemes will backfire on her. She wants controlling interest in the company. And she will do anything to get what she wants.

Have I beat you to the finishing line? I now know ALL. One of my predictions was right. Quite honestly I skipped a lot through the last three episodes and from the frames I didn't miss anything. I got heartily sick and tired of Ismail - he is not lovable - he is not even tolerable. Efe was beginning to get on my nerves with his determination to be miserable for no good reason. In fact two of my predictions were right. Fatma's habit of nodding her head vehemently every time she spoke got pretty irritating. In later episodes it turned into grinstanbul and you felt like slapping them all. And what about Burkats suit? Nadide should stick to her day job - but nothing was shown of him at the event so I don't really know why they bothered. I tended to skip through "comedy" moments where everybody grins at Ismael's unforgiveable rudeness and compulsion to eat. I wont say anymore because I don't know where you are at.

I'm glad you're finally ahead of me so I don't have to worry about spoiling things for you. I am most of the way through the penultimate episode, one more to go.

Stupidity trope again. Efe struggles with the main gun running bad guy and managed to turn the gun on him and he slumped to the ground. Efe looks at him, then runs upstairs to free the girls, not knowing if he will meet some gun toting bad guy guarding them or not. AND HE LEAVES THE GUN LYING THERE BESIDE THE BAD GUY WHO JUST GOT SHOT!!!!! Efe figures he doesn't actually need brains, he has the look of sincerity and concern on his face, and that's enough for him.

I wondered if Kadim would die in the end, especially after Farise died, which ended any happily ever after scenario for them. That was a harbinger of the grief yet to come for that family. And his daughter was kidnapped. At that point it was almost a certainty that he would trade his life to save them. He was ready to sacrifice himself earlier, and the burden of his guilt was far too heavy for him. All of that together sort of telegraphed what his fate would be. He was kind of happy to have the chance to give his life to save them, given that he had taken a life to cause so much pain. He died with a smile, saying Efruz, his pride and joy was alive and well, and he had redeemed himself in her eyes.

I was halfway right about Efe. He didn't kill him or turn him in to the police because Kadim was genuinely repentant and sought to make amends for his crime. Efe couldn't totally forgive him, which I never really saw him doing. But he declined to seek justice in Kadim's case.

I have not seen the last yet, and I don't know how they end things with Ismail. But I am not surprised if things stay the same for him. It reflects the Muslim culture that nobody has really challenged him. When he slapped Nadide around for her modeling work, Burkat ran to him and just put his hands up to keep him away. He didn't even push him back, he just blocked him from getting near Nadide, looking at Ismail with that pleading expression, trying to calm him down. Men are allowed to beat their female family members in the Muslim culture, "if they have a good reason". So in that culture, Ismail hadn't really crossed the line and Burkat could only 'reason with him', ask him to refrain from further violence. Also, men who express anger are respected. In the west, when a man gets angry and shouts we tend to look at him as someone with "issues", someone who lacks self control, perhaps lacks confidence and has a low self image, and is immature. I read an article by a Danish psychologist who treated Muslim prisoners for several years and he explained this cultural difference that the role it plays in the inability of Muslims to integrate into western society. They really shouldn't come to the west.

I have yet to see where Seda's decision will land her. She ought to face legal consequences for her decision to smuggle arms through the company again. Do they have a board of directors? They should vote her out and make her sell her shares to pay those she caused to suffer. I will know how it turns out in another hour or so.

watching the last episode now, and making notes

Sumru, Nisan's mom. I know mothers instinctively run to their daughters' aide when they are sick or in trouble and Sumru would feel that same urge. But it is still hard for me to buy her sudden conversion to the loving mother given how thoroughly spiteful, hateful, and wholly sold out to supporting the criminal life she has been. Her position has been something along the lines of:

"We were doing just fine until Efe came along, crying like a little girl because his father was murdered. What a whiner! Your father made good money smuggling guns and killing people who got in his way. So what if he lied and murdered people? He would have been arrested and gone to jail if he hadn't. He gave me a good lifestyle and kept a respectable image in the community until Efe ratted on him for killing his father. That was a long time ago. Why couldn't he just get over it? And now you've decided to act like a prude instead of supporting and defending your father! You're dead to me Nisan."

Mother of the year. When someone can rationalize what Yakup did, and turn so completely against her daughter because she couldn't defend her father, it's hard for me to visualize them being overcome with love and concern for her sick daughter, even given the motherly instinct to protect and care for her. If she had ever said anything like "Nisan, I know what your father did was abhorrent and unthinkably wrong, but he is still your father; try to find a way to forgive him. You don't have to defend his actions, but remember that he has always loved you" or something which showed that she could understand Nisan's point of view, perhaps it would be easier to accept this dramatic 180 degree change in her feelings toward Nisan.

Oh no. Now Nisan needs a suitable bone marrow donor, and of course Efe has to prevail upon Seda to step up and do the right thing here. Dammit. I can tell where this is going. Seda will consent and her marrow will save Nisan's life, so she will be forgiven and somewhat rehabilitated in the show. Or will she act like a bitch and have to be theatened or leveraged into helping? Or will she negotiate her bone marrow to get control of the company? If so, I hope Nisan and Bora will start their own company and put Seda out of business. That would be a fitting end. In the last episode now. It may take me longer because I will probably stop to make notes along the way. Efe is talking to Nisan in the hospital now, discussing Seda, if she will help, if she is a match. It would be great if they could find ANYBODY else. Who would want Seda's marrow? They are looking for Seda now. I wondered if she had maybe gone to Sile where that photo of her and Mete was taken of them so happy together. Now she is looking at a bottle of pills. Is she suicidal again? Maybe it will work this time and they can harvest her marrow. When they test it the doctor will probably come to talk to Nisan and tell her. "The marrow is a good match. But there is something we detected when we tested it. ...I must tell you this, the marrow will save your life. But there is a good chance you will turn into a spiteful, manipulative, evil bitch. "

AHA. Her phone was found on the Sile highway. I got that one right.

Oh boy. Efruz and Bora are talking. Both lost their parents when little. Common ground. Now they will begin to appreciate each other's good points. Efruz will ask "you're not 100% gay, are you?"

Now Efe has found Seda just before she was going to take a handful of pills. He was just a minute too early getting there. Seda wrote that the things she did to hurt people and her bitterness were the result of denying that Mete was gone. So the writers are trying to tell us that since Seda has had this realization that her bitterness and evil nature have changed? Efe is telling her she could save Nisan's life now. aha. Seda is still the evil bitch. She refused to help. Now Efe has shamed her and left. Seda has that sorrowful, regretful look on her face. That means she will show up at the last moment to donate her marrow. Maybe. Now she is sitting there with the pills again. Go for it girl. But I bet she doesn't. She will show up and save Nisan.

I can just see them getting the poker table ready now. Dammit. Fish heads for the writer.

half an hour yet to go. Efe is giving Nisan the bad news. Seda is the same spiteful bitch you know so well. She won't help you. And then here comes Seda. I knew they would have her show up at the last to do something good. Sorry, but it doesn't make up for all the crap she did. This is sickening to watch Seda acting like a loving sister. Oh, underneath it all, she was really just a good person who was hurting inside. How sweet. She is so happy to learn her marrow is a match. She is just filled with joy that she can help her dear sister. I think even the doctor had to duck off screen for a moment to vomit after watching that.

Now Nisan's mom is hugging Seda. All the evil bitches are burying their hatchets. Yes I really am pissed off that nobody has to pay a price for all the bad stuff they've done. What's next? Are the police going to tell Yakup "you've been such a nice prisoner, we just can't find it in our hearts to keep you in jail."?

And they're getting married in the hospital. til death do us part? What's that? Like about an hour? No. She will make it through the operation I am sure. About 10 minutes to go. That isn't enough time for the crying scene if she were to die, so she has to make it.

Now they are teasing us with the results of the operation by showing people eating breakfast, but not Nisan. Soon they will show Efe and Nisan arrive so we will know she made it. Wait for it..... ah, Efruz is working as a doctor again. And boyfriend Bora shows up to take her to dinner, or lunch, or something. So they are tying up the loose ends. Efruz is happy in love, finally. Kadim is smiling in heaven.

Seda is not in jail. She is working at the company, and is the most successful businesswoman of the year. Her reward for ruining so much happiness.

And finally Efe brings some fish to Nisan , who is pregnant! Treacly sweet happy ending. Everyone is good, everyone is happy. Nobody paid for their crimes, except Yakup. But they don't show that.

4- OK. what's next?

I actually like Turkish shows, but maybe we should watch something else for a while. That happy ending where crime and bad behavior are all forgiven is getting to me.

You're a scream !! You make me laugh so much !! Wasn't it just a puke making resolution - all those smiles - all that happiness - all that evil and manipulation unpunished. Efruz would never have gotten back into medicine after she faked a death certificate and aided a fugitive to escape - she would more likely have been put in prison. Bora soon changed his affections (apparently he is only 98.73% gay) as did Efruz whose I.Q. regarding him seems round about the same - and the rest of them had lobotomies. I wonder where Burkat got the money from to buy the café - he didn't make much as a fisherman and he had no collateral. Still never mind - Fatma gets to keep on cooking and Ismael gets to keep on eating himself into an early grave one hopes. Completely pointless, but the sort of ridiculous things I notice - is that on the shelves in Fatma's house were two industrial size (9000 metres) polyester thread cones in pink and turquoise - which seemed odd because there was no sewing machine and her craft of choice seemed to be woollen crochet. And those kidnap scenes - how many times have you seen a victim escape from a room and run until they see a car - and without making the slightest attempt to see who is in the car they flag it down - and of course it is a villain. And just as the handover was about to be made Efe had to pipe up "the money is not all there - but I'll get the rest tomorrow" and the villains would have accepted that had the police not arrived !! Turkish shows seem to be mostly soap with a bit of criminality thrown in - but although this was saccharin sweet it was at least acceptable. Unlike Ezel - which made no sense at all. (But I still love that car!)

As much as I kind of hated parts of the show, I really had fun watching it. I guess that's how it is with soaps. They piss you off, but they get you hooked at the same time. I have to laugh at some of the ridiculous things they do, how they set up the lead characters to have problems. Sometimes I get fed up with the stupidity, but making fun of it helps, and is kind of fun. It's nice to hear your take on the same things. You notice things I miss sometimes also. The segment leading to Kadim's death was all Efe's fault. Honestly, he was facing a bunch of guys with guns, and he managed to wrestle a gun away from one of them. THEN HE JUST LEFT IT LYING ON THE FLOOR! I was thinking "Hey dumbass. You might want to be armed in case you run into another guy with a gun." And of course he did. And that guy had the very gun he neglected to pick up and take with him. So Kadim had to jump in the way and catch the bullet with his heart. That was Efe's fault. What is it with these writers? Are they saying good guys cannot use deadly force? Not even to save their loved ones from murderers? Anyway, that was another really stupid decision to set up a crisis. I will start looking around for shows, try one or two and see if they might fit our tastes. You do the same.

I will - I know Netflix added some new shows on Oct 18th - they may be all films of course - but I will take a look. I had a random thought I will share with you regarding homosexuality. It occurs to me that nature seems to make flora and fauna evolve in order to survive with the changes taking place in their eco systems - so what if nature is detecting the ravages of over population on the planet - and is taking steps to reduce it? I have never seen such crazy numbers of homosexuals in my lifetime - there are 9 million according to estimates on a tiny island like Great Britain - 200 million in the world according to best guestimates and probably a lot more because people wont admit to it in countries where it is still criminalised. Fish are changing sex in polluted rivers - so are people drinking polluted water which is affecting their reproductive systems. One fact remains - homosexuality is not natural - if you are a gardener you will know how plants fight to survive whatever you do to them - is nature fighting to survive what humans are doing to the world? Is she taking away their powers to reproduce? You are much more knowledgeable than I am on all things scientific - I wondered if you had an opinion on this.

Update - on Netflix - "Gonul" 1 season 38 eps. "House of Flowers" - "Black Money".

Also Kacak, 50 episodes, a cop and a crime family.

I wonder about the tons and tons of pesticides and plasticizers which have estrogenic properties we have dumped into the environment, on our food, and leaching out of our plastic food containers and can liners. Add to that the social engineering by liberals who promote transgenderism and "alternative" lifestyles. I think together these factors have a very strong influence on the rise of homosexuality. In a literary sense your premise is interesting but I don't see it in nature. When animal populations exceed what the habitat can support, they fight for territory and many simply starve. Those who are stronger or more lucky survive and life goes on. Mankind has done some stupid things while pushing ahead with technological progress. Nuclear power plants were built with very poor designs, and without much thought to their long term operation, or what to do with all the waste material. Our processed foods extract minerals such as magnesium which is responsible for so much depression. (Magnesium glycinate supplements have been shown very very effective in rapid correction of "treatment resistant depression".) We dump so much junk in our oceans, including medical waste, and heavy metals like mercury which is neurotoxic, that in some places it isn't safe to eat the fish. And it will get worse. Fukushima power plant is still leaking radioactive elements into the ocean daily, huge amounts. The Pacific Ocean has seen massive die offs. I wonder what the ocean floor looks like. The bottom feeders are feasting, and will be affected as well. ...But no matter what happens, life persists and goes on. Even after cataclysmic events which affected the entire world, killing off species like the dinosaurs, life went on. We won't be around to see how bad it gets, but someone will. And as long as there are people, young men will lust for young women and the natural process will continue.

I hope you are right - but I still wonder about the numbers of homosexual people that seem to be ever increasing. Nature or not - I suppose they are doing the world a favour in the long run. As I have said before - I don't care about homosexuality itself - I care about the media forcing a constant stream of same sex sex down my throat every time I turn on the tv. I think they should invent a "straight only " channel that we can watch with young children and have no fear of what they may be exposed to. Gays couldn't claim discrimination because most every channel is dedicated to including homosexuality in all its output. I hope that such shows are a fashion that will fade with time as people get bored with it - complaints will only encourage it. As a straight white female I feel that I am the one being discriminated against. I began watching Kacak and my television almost got my shoe thrown at it. Is this the one where they show flashbacks which consist of everything going backward at a rapid rate? It made me feel nauseous. Let me know what you would like to watch.

I started watching Kacak. I am on episode 3 now. It is pretty good I think. See if you think so. If not, we will find something else to watch.

By the way, I didn't mean to put down your idea. In a strictly scientific sense, nature isn't sentient. But some people subscribe to the idea of Gaia, mother earth as God. That is a popular ideology in the environmentalist's world. But I've always viewed that as a construct for justifying radical environmental activism, or for substituting for other religious ideas a person may not favor. But for whatever reasons, it is an idea which has made it into the liberals' lexicon. So the idea that Nature is self regulating the population of humans by affecting our sexual preferences to lower the birth rate would be congruent with the Gaia concept. But I think the birth rate is being affected in the western world more by inflation and debt. People can't afford to have large families when they must buy so many things which are so expensive, and when the cost of living is so high compared to less industrialized or developed areas. When the birth rate falls below 2 per couple, the population falls quickly. And that is the case in America, and I suspect other western countries. I think six of my kids were aborted. I am not really sure of the number, but I know for certain that 4 were. Not proud of it, and I didn't know beforehand for all of them. But it points to the fact that I have not reproduced, like so many others. So politicians want to increase immigration of young people to keep the tax base productive. I believe America should only take immigrants from similar cultures though. We're taking in large numbers of people who don't like our country, who want to change it to what they just ran away from. And in some groups, most of them go on welfare instead of working and paying taxes. That only makes it worse.

I am rambling again.
