Hello everyone. They just shut down the boards on IMDB for good a few minutes ago. The message says they did it tomorrow, apparently being precise isn't a big thing with them. Today, tomorrow, whatever. Close enough. Bye bye IMDB boards! Hopefully Colin Needham and the other moneygrubbing sycophants who run the site get exactly what they deserve for serving an eviction notice to their own contributors. Very, very shortsighted and stupid move by clueless corporate giant Amazon. Right now this site is probably the most promising potential replacement. There's another one called moviechat.org that's somehow archived a piece of the imdb forums but not a big fan of their format. And the archive is by no means as complete as they made it sound. So hopefully we'll be seeing this place start to populate in a big way over the next few days.

I just deleted my IMDB account, foolish move on their part, especially with so many scrambling to save their posts.

It has suddenly dawned on me that I forgot to save any of my posts. Truly unfortunate.

I'm an IMDb refugee. I'm going by a different username on here as opposed to IMDb. I figured it was good just to start over fresh.

Refugee here. Was an IMDB user since 1999. Such a stupid thing they have done, removing the feature that brought in the most traffic to their site. They will realize their mistake when it's too late. I will never be going back there again, that's for sure! ๐

I too am a refugee but not from the Stranger Things board. I came into the show late and have been too afraid of spoilers. So I never visited. I figured it'd be safe for now though, on this site. :)

I never posted on ST, but I'm from IMDB. I refuse to go back to that site.

Another IMDB refugee here. I will go back to the site for now, but if this site brings few more things in, no reason to do so!

I finished this show too late to continue topics on IMDB.

Welcome!
You're all on the ground floor of something new here so start adding discussions to get people posting. Maybe even a subject you remember from another board that got good results.
๐๐ผ Just use the large green New Discussion button in the menu to the left.

YES! Hello, everybody! Maybe this is a new safe haven? Still shocked by the user-hostile decision to close down IMDb message boards permanently. Admittedly there were tons of trolls living their lives on many boards, but also so many great discussions and fascinating info between people from all over the World and of all generations.

I am also very saddened by the closing of the IMDB boards. Yes, tons of trolls who were fucking obnoxious, but still, I could almost always find good topics, especially in the less popular films! Oh well, viva TMDB!
