Interesting. I would say that she has lousy taste in guys then, however, I really think she's a big part of the problem and brings a lot of stuff upon herself.
Just because because she can feed and board kids doesn't make her a good mom. My mother fed me, clothed me, and put a roof over my head, but she SUCKED as a mom. Feeding and clothing them wasn't what I meant by being capable of looking after them. And from what little I've seen of their interactions with her, they don't seem real warm and fuzzy toward her. They seem annoyed and angry with her a lot, and I think it's got to do with more than just Mohamed.
Agreed Satai, good parenting is about more than meeting basic needs. If she were my mother I would be gone as soon as I could manage on my own. Her kids all seem more mature than she does. Lets see, a string of bad relationships, convicted criminal, can't pay her bills, can't hold a job, sides with deadbeat faux husband over her son, it just goes on and on.
OK, I just finished watching last night's (OK, Sunday Night's technically) episode.
Jorge is such a liar! He can't tell Anfisa the truth, and now he lies to his sister. Why doesn't he tell his sister that Anfisa kicked him out because he wouldn't stand up for her, and it's pretty much the last straw for her after all his lies to her. Oh but wait, how can we expect him to tell his sister the truth, if he can't even tell his WIFE the truth?! I hope Anfisa divorces him and takes him to the cleaners! And thanks to California divorce laws, she can ruin him! I had just a TINY bit of sympathy left for him and KIND OF understood how he's so whipped. He seems to come from a strong Matriarchal family. His sister is definitely strong and seems to be in charge, and I'm guessing his mother and other sister is, too. Whereas he seems to be very deferential to women, and coming from a strong matriarchal family would explain that. But he can't even be honest about anything. So, all sympathy is now gone.
Pedro and Chantel? I'm lost there. I don't like his mother or sister. The sister has the nerve to call Chantel's parents selfish, but she's the stuck up snot whose first words out of her mouth to her brother weren't even hi, how are you? But, "Where's my T.V.? Where's the T.V.? What do you mean you couldn't bring it?!" OMG! I couldn't believe her. She and her mother are the selfish ones. They're the disrespectful ones. I do think they're using Chantel and expect Pedro to just keep giving them everything. I couldn't believe when the sister was like, "Well, then go buy a bigger apartment..." Um, excuse me, but just because our dollar stretches far enough for her and her mother to get a three bedroom apartment WITH paid rent for the next five months, is in no way comparable to rent where Chantel and Pedro live. I totally understand Chantel's anger and frustration there. The gravy train needs to stop. Why isn't his mother and sister working? Oh wait, because they can sit on their asses while Pedro takes CHANTEL'S money that SHE worked for because he can't yet, and sends it to them. I see that money stopping soon. And you know they're going to go batshit crazy when that happens.
Danielle and Mohamed. OK, I know Danielle is nuts, and Mohamed's a schmuck, but was I the only one who started laughing when Mohamed's friend said that Danielle told her she thought the woman was a guy and she responded with, "You wish I was a guy!"? because I have to say that the first time the show put the cameras on her, I thought she was a transvestite or a guy who'd had a sex change. It took a while for me to realize that no, she really is a woman, lol. And I honestly wasn't trying to be mean, either. I just really think she has VERY manly features in her face, and the botox lips don't help.
Russ and Paola: Wow. I am with Russ. I think the "agent" is full of shit, so if she proves me wrong, I'll be happy. The couple Paola was so excited for Russ to meet, lol. I thought at first, "OK, this could be a positive thing." But then they had to go and say that the woman's husband is Swedish. I just hung my head and shook it, smiling and thought, "Oh boy. This is not going to go well." I mean, you've got Russ, a conservative Oklahoma country boy with typical conservative values, and then you have this Swedish man whose country is VERY open-minded and looks at public nudity/modelling nude as a very natural thing. The two cultures can't possibly be more different. Add Paola to this mix who also comes from a very open culture about this kind of thing, and of course she doesn't understand Russ's problem.
Loren and Alexi. Well, I'm glad that Loren and Alexei's mom got to spend time together. I'm sad that the outcome of the immigration meeting didn't go well, but I totally understand Natasha? Nadia? (sorry, I can't remember her name) not wanting to leave her other son alone like that. That is a very long and frankly unreasonable time to have to wait before coming here. There really should be extenuating circumstances about things like that. It really should be looked at on a case by case basis, not just a blanket injunction like that. Maybe that will be incentive for Loren and Alexei to work harder to save up money to go visit his family more in Israel.
Danmo: The crazy train just keeps chugging down the track. While there is no doubt some direction from the show to their story, I think the feelings and actions are mostly real. That is why they are the most compelling, and also disturbing story on the show. They are both just so disfunctional as people and as a couple. I think Dani's sister is right, if Mo showed up and said he wanted to try again to be a couple she would jump so fast that it would be a blur. There is no doubt in my mind that he committed fraud and should be deported, but she committed fraud as well. I can't feel much sympathy for her.
Jorfisa: I go back and forth on how much I believe their relationship to be real. Right now I am trending real, and if that is the case, Anfisa is an abuser. I've been critical of Jorge, he fell in love with a body and did anything he could think of to possess it. He got WAY more than he bargained for. She has him so cowed, isolated from family and friends, has to walk on eggshells to avoid her anger. Plus there is the hitting thing. If he were treating her like this he would be in jail.
Lorexei: Definitely a real relationship. Loren is a princess, I think daddy has pampered her way too much. That said, I still like their long term chances. I think all the Tourettes drama is fake. I believe all involved have known about this for some time, probably before the wedding.
Paoruss: I don't think she used him for a green card. I think they love each other. However, he made the same mistake as Jorge, fell in love with a body. She just has a better personality. Outlook fair to partly cloudy. They are just so different. And I have to say, what kind of moron would continue to think that "agent" is legit?
Petel: Until this episode they have been a snooze. I think almost all their storyline is fake. Not sure about their relationship. But they finally gave me a reason to watch their scenes this week.

I agree with pretty much everything you said. I've been wondering about Loren's Tourettes Syndrome. Not the drama about it, but about her having it. I know someone with it, and I've not necessarily seen ticks and such from her, but she definitely makes uncontrollable noises frequently. Yes, I'm sure there are various levels of it, but in Loren's case, I've never seen her with any ticks, etc., and she's never made noises or anything. Yes, I realize the footage can be edited here and there, but why do that if they're going with this story now? And yes, she's definitely a princess.
Pedro/Chantel, I've said before I think their story is fake based upon what I saw last season and her parents knowing they were living together in a STUDIO apartment. The mom just isn't convincing on being shocked about things.
I don't feel sympathy for Danielle either. I find her amusing and kind of annoying at times and yes, their story is the most real out of all of them. People like this are not that good of actors to be convincing if they're faking reactions, etc. And you're right, they're both extremely dysfunctional. I don't know if she'd go back to him this time though.
Jorge is an idiot, plain and simple, and again, you're right that if the roles were reversed and he hit her, he'd be sitting in jail facing abuse charges. But the camera continually catches her beating him up and that's OK? No, sorry, it's not. But I've said before that I think she's still very much a child. I like Jorge's sister. I wish Jorge was as strong as she is and could just stand up to Anfisa and tell her exactly where to go and when she demands he come home, get some balls and tell her, "No. I'll be home when I'm done running errands." Seriously, do you think after she gets her license and convinces him to buy her an expensive car that she'll come home when he gets upset and tells her to? No way. She'll laugh at him and tell him to eff off. Again, he's an idiot.
Nothing to add on the Paola/Russ angle.
Now I'm just waiting for tomorrow night's episode, lol.
Jorge is such a liar! He can't tell Anfisa the truth, and now he lies to his sister. Why doesn't he tell his sister that Anfisa kicked him out because he wouldn't stand up for her,
Satai, a watched the episode and he did say that.
I hope Anfisa divorces him and takes him to the cleaners!
I hope she falls on her ass and flattens it!
Total agree w/everything you said. They are not smart people. If they were smart, they would be kissing Chantel and her family's butt. Seriously, that's all they would have to do to keep the dough rolling. Why serve chicken feet and necks? Kill them with kindness.
I guess their pimp game isn't strong.
I see what you mean, but this chick - looking like a man somewhat -- is still 100 times better looking than Danielle.
I think Dani's sister is right, if Mo showed up and said he wanted to try again to be a couple she would jump so fast that it would be a blur.
There is no doubt in my mind that he committed fraud and should be deported, but she committed fraud as well. I can't feel much sympathy for her.
How did Danielle commit fraud in this situation?
Jorfisa: I go back and forth on how much I believe their relationship to be real. Right now I am trending real, and if that is the case, Anfisa is an abuser. I've been critical of Jorge, he fell in love with a body and did anything he could think of to possess it. He got WAY more than he bargained for. She has him so cowed, isolated from family and friends, has to walk on eggshells to avoid her anger. Plus there is the hitting thing. If he were treating her like this he would be in jail.
Finally, you walk into the light, and see that Jorge was just blinded by love. What he did was because he wanted love. What Anfisa did was for money and now that's turned into abuse.
Lorexei: I think all the Tourettes drama is fake.
I'm so dang tired of hearing about Tourettes. I wondered why they even selected them to return.
Paoruss: I don't think she used him for a green card.
You need to see the first season. Paulo is a good person, but she wanted a green card. She was very materialistic and I think she edited herself after the first season to a better version of herself.
Pedro/Chantel, I've said before I think their story is fake based upon what I saw last season and her parents knowing they were living together in a STUDIO apartment. The mom just isn't convincing on being shocked about things.
There are so many trainwrecks out there in these types of scenarios that I don't think this is fake. The mother could be like me, who can't be that easily shocked.
Jorge is an idiot, plain and simple, and again, you're right that if the roles were reversed and he hit her, he'd be sitting in jail facing abuse charges. But the camera continually catches her beating him up and that's OK? No, sorry, it's not.
On Teen Mom, Amber was arrested and served time for domestic abuse resulting from the airing of the show.
Is it just me or did Jorge look different in the scene with his friend, a little younger, more like last season? I wonder if that was an old scene that they used for this episode.
Anfisa, says she has had nothing done but her lips? Seriously? And what is up with that shady plastic surgeon, telling a 20 year old with no lines on her face at all that she needs botox for crow's feet? I know its LA, but wow.
Pao is paying another photographer to take photos for her nonexistent modeling career while Russ has to settle for a job for which he is overqualified, at half what he was making in OK? Good luck with that marriage.
Chantel looks like she has had work done since their first season. The cleavage shots look there is more there, lol. The two families will never see eye to eye on his role in supporting his mother. A basic culture clash that neither understands the other's position.
Mo looked very much the predator this episode. The poor victim facade was MIA. Danielle is right, Tom is not neutral. He wasn't wrong about her kids, though.

I agree with everything you said. Pretty much spot on. I have to wonder if the surgeon was being paid to tell her that though. You know, for the sake of the cameras. Because I thought the exact same thing. I'm like, "Um, WHAT lines? WHAT crow's feet? She's god damn TWENTY YEARS OLD!!! WRINKLES??? WHERE!?" but yeah, I don't believe for a minute that the only thing she's had done is her lips prior to this. Maybe they don't call it Botox in Russia? So maybe she just doesn't know it by that name and thinks it's something else? Anyway...
I honestly wasn't paying much attention to Jorge. I'm kind of fed up with him and his lies and the "I'm the victim" routine. Grow a pair already. Maybe if he had a pair he could have stood up to her and not let her push him around and be a...
I didn't look in that area on Chantel, sorry, lol. I am sick and tired of Pedro constantly saying, "It's not your problem. It's my problem, OK?" Because no, it's not OK. It is their problem, and her problem. It's their problem because she's their daughter and they see she's unhappy and that he isn't listening to her and isn't willing to see things from her point of view but expects her to see everything from his. I'm not married, but even I know that's not how marriage works if you want to be happy and successful at it. And it is her problem because that's money that could go toward bettering their lives, and instead he's sending it back to his mother and spoiled ass sister!
Then add to the fact that both families insist the other is being disrespectful, and it's true, but at some point they need to get over it and decide if they can TRULY work together to become one family. Maybe not always happy, but at least civil for the sake of their kids (of course, little miss princess then needs to grow up and stop expecting her brother to hand her everything. Has she not heard of a JOB???). Otherwise, it's going to put tons of stress on Pedro and Chantel, and they are going to wind up divorced.
Yeah, I know. Pao is being incredibly selfish, and every time she says, "But in Columbia, he'd..." Well, you're not in Columbia are you? You're in America, and people sometimes do things differently. She doesn't seem to understand the repercussions of him taking a paycut on a job like this. It could kill his chances at getting back into the field he has a degree in and was making really good money in. She is being incredibly selfish by not caring that he's not happy. So long as she's happy, everything's fine. Um, no.
No, Tom isn't impartial. He's clearly Mohamed's friend and has been since the beginning. You're right though, he's was spot on about her kids. It really doesn't seem like she's ever been there for them. She's a very immature person, and sadly, at 44 years old, she's unlikely to grow up. Her kids are more mature than she is. Why else would a 44 year old woman look for a "man" in his twenties? That isn't ever a relationship which is likely to work out.

Satai, a watched the episode and he did say that.
I hope she falls on her ass and flattens it!
I see what you mean, but this chick - looking like a man somewhat -- is still 100 times better looking than Danielle.

How did Danielle commit fraud in this situation?
Finally, you walk into the light, and see that Jorge was just blinded by love. What he did was because he wanted love. What Anfisa did was for money and now that's turned into abuse.
You need to see the first season. Paulo is a good person, but she wanted a green card. She was very materialistic and I think she edited herself after the first season to a better version of herself.
There are so many trainwrecks out there in these types of scenarios that I don't think this is fake. The mother could be like me, who can't be that easily shocked.
On Teen Mom, Amber was arrested and served time for domestic abuse resulting from the airing of the show.
