Is it just me or did Jorge look different in the scene with his friend, a little younger, more like last season? I wonder if that was an old scene that they used for this episode.

Jorge looks relaxed, because he was Anfisa-free for weeks. The stress was aging him, and now that he was free of her, he looked better.

Anfisa, says she has had nothing done but her lips? Seriously? And what is up with that shady plastic surgeon, telling a 20 year old with no lines on her face at all that she needs botox for crow's feet? I know its LA, but wow.

That's not LA. That's OC.

Pao is paying another photographer to take photos for her nonexistent modeling career while Russ has to settle for a job for which he is overqualified, at half what he was making in OK? Good luck with that marriage.

Yeah, I know. Plus, even if Pao gets gigs, how much would that rake in $500 every now and then?

Did anyone watch the new 90 Days, 3.0 Before the 90 Days? It was on right after the new episode of Happily Everafter.

I don't know if I can stomach any more of these deluded morons who are trolling the internet for a foreign "spouse" who is way out of their league and has to be scamming to come to the US. It is just so bleeding obvious. Kentucky dude looks like he has mental health issues, maybe underlying depression, certainly OCD. Likely why his previous relationships have blown up, and even if his 20 year Brazilian babe is genuine, this one will blow up too. Ohio guy thinks the 61 year old sugar daddy is old. Guess what dude, she is 20, 47 and 61 are both old to her and you are just another sugar daddy. Then we have the 42 year old botox queen who thinks that a smoking hot 24 year old that she has never met in person is her soul mate. Even if he is attracted to her, no way this lasts a lifetime. She is lucky if it lasts 6 weeks, which would be fine if all she wanted was to bang him but she thinks this is marriage material. OMFG

I'm not full of many creative things to say tonight.

  • Pedro and Chantal....they should not be married. Pedro's family is shady and rude....Pedro seems a lot more arrogant/cocky when around just them (mom and sister) and it makes me wonder if the mask will drop more when him and Chantal are together longer. Even the scene when he starts yelling at her in the hotel room (last week I think) was making me a little uneasy, his body language blocking her and that kind of thing. I definitely think it was super rude of Chantal's family not to get out of the van and meet the grandmother. But Pedro's sister is a pain and rude. At the end of the day, whoever is "right" or "wrong" it's clear that both families hate and mistrust and disrespect the other, stirring up their respective kids, too, so I don't see this marriage lasting at all. They should divorce.

  • Yeah I watched the before 90 days thing. I do think the Ohio guy with the Haiti lass is deluding himself. Both are sugar daddies. And I can't help but cringe at Darcey talking about her hot Dutch guy. She keeps going on about true love, spiritual connection, all that. It's like dude I've watched enough Catfish to realize how quickly this "connection" evaporates if the person were to look a different way. I would say his hot bod is 90% of it. When you find someone super hot, you're going to want to love their personality, too (unless a total uber jerk) and will want to believe it's about some deep love too. Well...I should rephrase that. I don't think this is true for everyone. Of course not every relationship is that shallow. BUT I think one where it is based primarily on attraction...like this....yaaa might be willing to play up how "great" of a person he is, too, and how wonderful of a connection there is. (same goes with genders swapped, same genders, whatever.) But, we'll see! Maybe he's into her for real! could be. I have to admit I am curious to see how the next episode goes.... And the guy with Brazil girl...yyah that river trek is iffy especially with him not knowing the language at all and her not knowing English...

I didn't watch the "Before 90 Days" thing, only the current season of the people I've already been following.

Every time Pedro's sister opened her mouth, I thought, "Look in a mirror baby, because you're talking about yourself!!!" And her comments to Chantel about where they (she and her mother) should live was ridiculous. So, you should get to live like a queen but your sister in-law should suffer? I don't think so.

And yeah, I agree with others that it was incredibly disrespectful of Chantel's family to not get out of the van. "Wild dogs," my ass. Chantel's brother is just an idiot. In other countries, it's normal for family dogs to run around loose on the family's land. I've traveled to places where dogs often are seen off leash and without an owner in sight. They're not lost, they're not strays, they belong to people, but they're used to roaming around. It's not like here in the States where it's required that dogs always be on a leash if off the property. Maybe if Chantel's family took five minutes to learn about Pedro's culture, they wouldn't come across like stuck up snobs. It's getting hard to sympathize with them on the whole disrespect issue when they themselves are being incredibly disrespectful. And yes, both families are stirring up shit when they should be keeping their noses out of it. Let Chantel and Pedro try and work all this out on their own. They were actually starting to make progress, and Pedro was starting to come around after hanging out with his friends and they straight up told him, "You have a wife and you need to stick by her. Be a man." and he was starting to until both families attacked him, and his family attacked Chantel, and Chantel's family started making her confused about his "agenda."

Also, was the episode one hour or two? Because my DVR cut off after an hour and Chantel was right in the middle of yelling at her sister in-law and it just cut out so if there was anything after that, I missed it, and I don't understand this because until this past Sunday, the episodes have been two hours long.

Pao is still being incredibly selfish. She needs to grow up. Russ is never going to change his mind on the sexy/partial nudity issue. That's how he is, and no, that's not being controlling (at least, I don't think so), he's just very conservative, and for these people to fill her head, telling her he's being controlling, they need to just mind their own business. I don't see their marriage lasting.

Jorge annoyed me so much when he went to that store to buy her a gift. She doesn't deserve a gift. She needs to learn to have a discussion without hitting, and without screaming like a banshee. And he needs to stand up to her and grow a pair (I know I've said this before, but it still holds) and stop wimping out and buying her things. Btw, anyone believe her, "He was my first," story? I honestly don't know if it's true or not, but it wouldn't surprise me if it turned out to be a lie.

Agree.

I bet the sister doesn't even work, and if she does, she's not working full-time.

And yeah, I agree with others that it was incredibly disrespectful of Chantel's family to not get out of the van. "Wild dogs," my ass. Chantel's brother is just an idiot. I agree, but there are places in the US were dogs (unfortunately) roam free.

They said that AND they said he should support his mother. I'm down for all of that, but it appears Pedro goes overboard w/the gifts. I'm sure it's mostly coming from Chantal's money. We already know he doesn't have credit, so that's why he made her buy a laptop. Who knows who bought the TV and paid for the pricey shipment.

Also, was the episode one hour or two? Because my DVR cut off after an hour and Chantel was right in the middle of yelling at her sister in-law and it just cut out so if there was anything after that, I missed it, and I don't understand this because until this past Sunday, the episodes have been two hours long.

I think the episodes were 90 minutes long, and no, you didn't miss anything, except next week's highlights.

Pao is still being incredibly selfish. She needs to grow up. Russ is never going to change his mind on the sexy/partial nudity issue. I don't see their marriage lasting.

I think she should do whatever she wants. She surely did that when they were living with Russ' folks. That -- meaning parading in lingerie at the breakfast table. So, I don't know why Russ is bent out of shape. Yes, he was a bit at his folk's home, but not nearly like this.

Jorge annoyed me so much when he went to that store to buy her a gift. She doesn't deserve a gift. She needs to learn to have a discussion without hitting, and without screaming like a banshee.

I agree, but I need me that bracelet! Who do I have hit? punch_tone5

I do believe Jorge is Anfisa's first --- first American sucker! rofl

There is no way a 19 year-old virgin is going to get breast implants before she does it. I think that's in the rule book. books book

It was a one hour episode, followed by an hour for "Before the 90 Days." Chantel's fit carried over a couple of minutes into the second hour.

@Poetist: First, please stop quoting me as having said things I didn't say. The first two quotes you're claiming are mine, are not. Thanks.

Second, yes, there are many places sadly where there are stray dogs. It's why I adopt from shelters instead of getting some massively inbred "pure breed," dog. My point though, was that it was quite clear that the dogs shown were family pets just running around having fun on in the yard, and that Chantel's family, as usual, were being snobs and overreacting.

I really doubt the sister works at all. Like the mother, she's very likely dependent upon whatever Pedro sends home. She comes across as a very entitled person who thinks the world revolves around her and that her culture and lifestyle are the only things which matter.

OK, good, I'm not the only one who thinks her boobs are fake, lol. But that really wasn't why I questioned him being her first. It was more the pictures the show revealed of her from whatever site she was on that he met her through. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think virgins pose like that and post them on the Internet. Not unless they're stupid American teens in high school being complete idiots and doing that "sexting" thing (and where are the parents on that???).

@Poetist and @jonnieblack: Thank you. I'm glad I didn't miss much, but it would have been nice to see the end of the tirade, lol.

I can accept that Pedro support his mother but not his perfectly capable of working, young and healthy sister. I hate her so much...

Wait, I go to your post to respond to what is there. The computer places you as the person who said it -- not me.

If you don't want this to happen, you need to highlight what you want to quote -- not click on the quote button and start responding to the entire post of a poster.

See, I did it with your message. I highlighted the quote in your message that I wanted to answer.

If you continue to do it the way you're doing and someone wants to respond to both messages, the system will attach a name to the message whether it is right or wrong.

I quote the entire post of the poster because I respond to the majority if not the entirety of what they've said.

Oh yeah, totally. Unfortunately, I've seen this kind of attitude before. It sadly seems to be normal in the Latino/Mexican/Spanish culture. The son works to support the rest of the family while the daughters are treated like spoiled princesses. A friend of mine's daughter is going through this right now with her boyfriend. His parents treat him like dirt while pampering his sisters, and like Pedro, he's been conditioned to accept it and doesn't see the problem with it. And she's in just as contentious a relationship with his sisters as Chantel is with Pedro's sister. It drives us all batty and like Pedro, he defends his family and refuses to see anyone else's point of view.

You can still respond to the whole message, but the quote button is used to highlight a certain section in the message.

You can use the arrow to point to the > person's sentence, Mary had a little lamb

and you can respond with its fleece was white as snow.

Then, the next line of their message, > Jack and Jill

You can continue to respond like this throughout their post. The only thing is that you don't leave a space between the arrow and the quote.

In Mexican culture, the male, especially if he's the only male or the youngest one, gets treated like a prince.

I agree. If he doesn't have that, he's just socially awkward and stupid. What makes Kentucky think he can find love with someone he cannot communicate with, w/o an app? This reminds me of my college roommate. Her parents didn't speak the same language and were divorced. It's the same American man/foreign woman situation. The odd thing is that my roommate didn't even speak her mother's language.

Ohio guy thinks the 61 year old sugar daddy is old. Guess what dude, she is 20, 47 and 61 are both old to her and you are just another sugar daddy.

Yeah, didn't he say he spent $2500 on clothes for her to resell? Did he do that in his sleep?

Then we have the 42 year old botox queen who thinks that a smoking hot 24 year old that she has never met in person is her soul mate. Even if he is attracted to her, no way this lasts a lifetime. She is lucky if it lasts 6 weeks, which would be fine if all she wanted was to bang him but she thinks this is marriage material. OMFG

What bothers me is that she is letting her kids in on this? She doesn't even know whether or not this will work out, and when it doesn't she will feel like a fool if she has to tell them her soul mate wasn't this hot dude.

A lot of these men are socially awkward. That seems to be a common theme. Maybe being with someone who didn't speak English well covers that up somewhat.
